If you kill the ragdoll with the daggers from the spikes, there's no death message, it's just slow. I'm not sure if it's related, but when I pressed pause after that, there was no weapons to buy, and I couldn't clear the screen. Only the play and upgrade button were available. I went to the menu and back and all was fine.
3/5 Surprisingly decent game. The music fits well and the progression of level difficulty is good, and I'm loving the level designs so far. Even though I've seen similar games before, I still think this could become a good game with a few visual improvements. The most important part is the main menu. It looks like you made it in under 5 minutes in paint. That also goes for the buttons and background, but they are less important. Give them a touch up. It doesn't have to be flashy - it can even stay simple like it is - but it just needs to look like you care about details - especially when the game is as long as it is.
Also, I'd like to be able to see which level I'm at while playing the game.
Needs some kind of mechanism to help you if you're stuck. I restarted the game 3 times before being able to complete it. I used skips to see the motive, and then next time I could identify it when I heard it. I would have preferred if we could gain hints perhaps by playtime and/or correct answers, somehow guess parts of the answer, maybe by guessing the category (letters/symbols, words, geometry, other figures) or perhaps drawing a sketch and hear what it sounds like in comparison.
It shows that it's a time-waster game intended for phones: It takes a very long time to complete and you hardly ever make noticeable progress.
Not my thing at all but I can see some effort still has been into the game, so 3/5
Had to start over because I made the made the mistake of moving too quick out of the start door in one level. That made me dislike the game a little bit because it becomes tedious to do it over again, when the controls aren't too good. Maybe it would have been fine if the game only needed skill / experience to master.
Hard badge tips on the hardest levels: 30(in the red room, jump over the first flame and then over the rest), 53(fall down to the two yellow slimes when the last one is underneath you, facing left), 70(don't use gravity through yellow portal & lean against roof edges through trampolines), 71(don't hit second gravity), 74(timing is key; immediately jump over 1st slime, wait for the 2nd and follow under its roof, then jump almost right away, land on the left side and jump over the 1st orange to the right side then jump to the next platform, and then continue to follow the 4th purple slime under its roof which will lead you to the top left corner checkpoint), 76(practice last jump A LOT, the hardest in the game imo; follow right behind the orange slime when going right, jump down from the red key just before it passes you), 78(fall to 2nd orange as it's right under you, then quickly do the tiniest jump while holding left and then jump again when you're past the flame).
7/7 hats, 16/16 endings but 11/12 achievements. I've zoomed out and can't seem to find anything I didn't click. Anyone have suggestions to what I might try to get the last achievement?
@jk1210 We don't need to + your comment. This game will get badges either way. It's on the "Hot New Games" Page, and I haven't seen any of those games not receiving badges.
@desmonds Yeah I know. It was a bit of a useless comment I made. I just thought it was a hard badge way harder than many other hard badges. I'm sure more people will do better when some easy-to-follow walkthroughs have been released (I can currently find 1 one youtube) - plus people seem to say premium content makes the game easier - so most of the people getting that will probably also get the hard badge.
@Ruffyl It might feel similar but there's several major differences, if you haven't noticed: The eye-level perspective (instead of bird's eye), the importance of height of towers, climbing - and units that needs to be climbed to be hit by melee. Other than that I think the maps are very creative and definitely deserves attention. I feel like it's comparable to a remix of a song - and that the remix added something good to it. It's not a copy and I think it's bold to call it that.
@PixelMurderer About upgrading from lvl 4 to 5 towers. Have you seen the visual update? It's not supposed to be taller than 4, it just improves the tower more.
@Sparagnausen I just completed it on easy, focusing on EXP and then offensive upgrades and according to the game it took me 5½ hours of gameplay to get all badges. After you've finished level 1-12 you've tried most content of the game. Mardek 3 e.g. is a lot longer if you're going for all badges, I'd say. Especially if you're a completionist. And in comparison this is a lot easier as well. From the moment I had unlocked the dragon (somewhere in chapter 3 I think) I completed every level the exact same way.
The Shop Pig spoke of a staff called a "Money Mace" that supposedly could be used "even if you don't have mana" which I've never seen - and I'm half into the 5th chapter. Is there anything I'm missing?
Thanks for the feedback. I'm definitly not much of an artist but I'll see what I can do in the future.
