This is a fun twist on the launcher genre. 2500 is too far for the Hard badge I think. Success is too random, based on bounces, stuff getting stuck between the wheels, amount of ammo power up that show, etc. I had a run where I almost made it, only to flip upside down. It becomes a chore by that point and not fun. But maybe it fires squids and this review is invalid. ;)
Fun game and a true "hard" badge. It's odd for the trophies to be worth money at the end but not during the game but it works mechanically. I love the salesman laughing at me if I don't have enough money.
It took a long time but I did run into the memory leak problem. The game suddenly slowed down and a restart fixed it. Dev, you need to actually look into this and not whine about every comment on it. Second, a few more tips would be nice. I don't know if the suits matter beyond their special. Do they give stats? Also, how does speed help in this one? It doesn't SEEM to make me attack more often.
@Bangirrr I don't know exactly what causes it but basically the program doesn't give back memory it isn't using, thus eating up more and more causing it to slow down.
Cool idea but I don't like how much the people move and how many people and robots there are for the size of the levels. I'm often clicking on things by accident because they move in front of what I want to click. Or I clear a floor only to have another scientist come up from below. If scientists are scared of the dark, why will they go into the dark to stop the hack? And why do they only need to run by. They are good to be able to do that while running from a killer robot.
This is a great spin on the overdone "runner" game. Turning onto different faces is fun. I played through all the Winter levels. They started fun but turned into a frustrating chore. The ramps were a blast at first but they become an annoying deathtrap when you start putting them as "moguls" not on the edge of a line. I kept getting bounced into a pit. Then the game was inconsistent on when it would or wouldn't let me jump off a ramp vs just running off, which matters for jump distance. It was also hard to tell if I needed to jump or not.
The issue with being unable to jump from a ramp will be fixed in the next update. In the meantime, you can avoid it by using a different character. (It only happens to the Runner and Bunny.)
This is a good start. The art is great and the story was funny. The combat system is too basic. It begs for some combos but right now it's just a hack n slash. I can't block like the enemies can and I can't move quickly enough to dodge most attacks. The final boss works well because I can actually use my better agility to dodge and strike. The controls seemed a bit sluggish as well, but that might have been lag on my end.
There's not enough to this for long play but you made my day when I missed, fell on the road in a funny position, and got my head run over, complete with long red tire tracks. Win.
My complaints are with some of the goals. Let's say I'm waiting for something to complete and I decide to make a lot of item X. Later I get a quest that I need to make 10 item X. the 50 I've already made don't count but I might no longer have that component. Also, if I get a quest to mine from the crater, friend's or neighborhood craters should count. Finally I don't like the "give friends item Z" quests since it's dependent on friends requesting those things rather than them fulfilling my requests. I don't like those either because they are out of my hands, but they at least get done.
I'm actually enjoying this game despite not liking other, similar games. I feel like I get energy at a good rate and enough batteries where I get a good amount of play before having to wait. Timers on buildings is actually good since it's something to wait for while you can't play. I think the secret is that I can see what I'm working toward, such as the other areas and the promise of hidden secrets in the bunker.
I like this game. Energy replenishes at a good pace and batteries are plentiful. I feel like I can actually play a bit and by the time my energy is up, I feel like I've gotten a good fill. Now please get rid of the popup offers to buy boosters. They are annoying.
Silly fun but at higher levels I get hit immediately upon starting so I'm already down to 3 or even 2 hearts. That is cheap so I'd recommend delaying enemy spawn, even if it's still a large mob.
You've done something special here. The game is not hard. Level 7 breaks the game because you can keep replaying it for 50 gifts each time, which is a lot early on. The Holy Hand Grenades giving extra clicks makes those levels too easy. And yet the really full levels are a blast to play, no pun intended. Watching all of the special effects go off and the ice blocks break is EXTREMELY satisfying. Since games are meant to be fun, that makes this successful in my eyes.
This game is a cool idea but there isn't enough gameplay. I don't do the training or the combat. You should make the training minigames. Look at Swords and Souls here on Kongregate for a good example.
