Like: Awesome classic RPG format.
Dislike: Lack of easier healing (I want to get on with the killing...not play a shopping game. A little is okay, but really.)
It's a solid effort. Obviously a lot of care can been put into this which I appreciate. Few opportunities for improvement stil. OVERALL PACE: I would have liked to have played with the combined towers but most of the maps were too challenging to warrant "an experiment." A sandbox mode would allow players to experiment. UI: The gun icons could use some parity to express their specialties. The upgrade tiers could be expressed with a three-section bar that fills up (or some graphic) to reinforce the unlocking abilities. The combine icon could use some development, and the sell icon is too light. NARRATIVE: I played "campaign" but there was nothing very campaigney about it...it was merely a series of maps. Once you get the small things worked out, maybe building a story and some changing flavor could make it a true campaign.
Would enjoy the challenges without a time constraint...perhaps add value for faster accomplishments through score or something (for those that care about that kind of thing).
Liggy, I picked up on that too. You can pretty much just go flat-out through all the levels. Also, level 10 has some real collision-detection errors...particularly near the end.
Hey, how about first one to admit to having nothing to say?
This TD has a lot of room for improvement. I like the overall design of the interface...nice and clean...but I don't like how the path and tower spaces are delineated. The creeps could use health bars. It could use some indication (before you begin) as to where the creeps are going to come from. It doesn't look like I have any lives to worry about, so that's nice (I guess). Nice take on it...now fix it up and make it special.
What's up with the 5th Cave of Trial? There's that ringing sound and my dudes just start dying off and there doesn't seem to be anything I can do to stop it.
Yes, level 35 is a joke. For those of you struggling with the lower levels, line the path with as many goblins as you can fit. Pack 'em in. Get about 20 or so of them out there and maybe just one or two of the other types. (Be sure to put the expensive green dudes on an elbow since their upgrade gives them a spinning attack.) Then just start upgrading those goblins until you die at level 35.
