Ok, I can't fathom why this game is getting such low ratings. I mean, if you dislike the game, I would think the worst you could give it is a 3/5 just because it is well made and a unique concept. Honestly though, it gets a 5/5 from me because it is a very different, clever, and slick take on a very crowded genre. Well done for mixing some cool elements together and putting together a compelling and fun game!
I really wish I didn't love these games so much. There's something just tremendously therapeutic about the whole thing. It's like an automated bubble-wrap popper once you get going. This is much better - love the new power-ups and the fact that I'm now actually using ice and bombs. Well done - you've bumped up to a 5/5 with this version. Would be nice to see a couple of minor adjustments, as have been mentioned (pause button, ability to place multiple things once selected, and perhaps a quality setting for those of us with slow computers). Bravo! Now just please don't make any more of these addictive bastards. ...sigh...
I think you guys are being a bit harsh here. I think it's a solid 3/5, but certainly no higher. It lacks originality, and I'm not a fan of the limited ammo, and agree that the headshots seem arbitrary. But the animation is great, the interface and presentation are strong, and overall it's a good accomplishment. Nothing outstanding in the long run, but easily worthy of 3 stars for production values if nothing else. And Yamiro, that's the worst justification for giving something a 1/5 I've seen yet.
Yeah, this sucks. Some decent animation, though not much of it so it gets repetitive. Seems somewhat arbitrary all around, and has extremely limited appeal, even with boobs. Not to mention is really pretty freakin' sexist and disgusting in overall concept.
Wow. I've just started, but this is very impressive. Kinda makes me want to go buy Portal. I think Valve should pay you for advertising, seriously. Wonderful animation, interface, controls, everything! I might change later, but initial impressions are a definite 5/5!
Haha! Nice ending. Sorry for the double post, but I just got to (what I assume) is the final segment. Anyone trying this, don't give up until you have at least 50 saves! :-D
Wow, this is freakin' awesome. :) Short replay value, but extremely entertaining while it lasts (of course, since it is touted as a "mini-game", that's to be expected). Only problem: I kept voluntarily killing myself just to see how the new stick man would die. Awesome dude, just awesome. :-) 4/5
Sadly, replay value is (obviously) about the only thing hurting this game. I agree with MDRL - the presentation, graphics/animation, concept - it's all wonderful. The music's very appropriate too, though, as much as I love the head bouncing sound, I'd like to hear some sort of decapitation sound as well (yes, I'm sick...).
For everyone complaining about the horse running over people - that's part of the skill of the game, plus whenever someone gets by you you lose health, so running over is a quick way to save yourself.
I fully expect to see a badge on this one! Well done!
Decent TD with some good graphics and setup, but suffers from unbalanced gameplay (your interest levels are far too high and get so very quickly - makes money nearly limitless) and severe technical issues (lagged so bad at end that I just shut it off despite being on the last boss). 3/5, but could be a 4/5 easily with some minor adjustments.
Though I'd like to add: thank you so much for taking the time to read the comments and make changes. While I don't agree with some of them, apparently a lot of people liked them, and really I'm just nit-picking. It's really cool when a dev takes the time to take suggestions to heart, so well done.
Agreed - should not have added the ability to go straight up like that. The space-invader format I thought was pretty cool. Also, I have to say, I'm rather bitter about losing my save-game (was on the last mission) and I'm not sure it's worth playing all the way through again. :(
Somehow, I still get addicted to these damned TD games...sigh...
A fine entry, though nothing spectacular. Good use of mazing, but rather simplistic due to only one entry point. Also, little specialization in tower abilities, so the tower selection becomes limited only by money, not by strategy. Plus, PPs take too long, and I'm not putting enough time into this game to ever have the mine pay off. Every 5 minutes? Are you kidding?
Wonderful job. The game's been done before, but this is the prettiest and coolest version I've seen of it. Limited replay value, but seeing as it was primarily an art project anyway, that doesn't matter. Wonderfully done - I'd give you an A. :)
Mildly amusing concept, but buggy, unclear, and unexplained. You need to clear out your text boxes (no [enter function] or whatever), have actual yes/no check boxes, and then perhaps provide some insight as to where the number came from.
Stop saying "needs a badge". That is not for Kongregate, that is for dz2001 to do. The problem is that the Kong API has not been implemented in this game. I would highly encourage dz2001 to do so (assuming the game is not AS3, if it is then do it as soon as Kong is AS3 compatible). Once that has been done, I have little doubt that a badge will be added for the game.
Entertaining quick romp, but very low replay value. Would get slightly better with the Kong API so we could compare high scores, and I honestly wouldn't mind a badge on the game, just because it is rather entertaining. I just probably won't come back to it until there's a reason to. 3/5
I was quite disappointed with this game - primarily because it sounded like it was going to be a lot of fun, and obviously had high production values. Ultimately though, the game is slow, it needs to give information about experience gains, and it would be nice to see how much you have left to go in a level. Sadly, the game ends up feeling more like work than play, and that's one of the most damning things I can say about a game. 3/5, but primarily for production values, not for gameplay.
This game is far, far more entertaining that it deserves to be. I mean that as a compliment. It's so simple, yet the wonderfully amusing and, frankly, satisfying process of blowing the crap out of other vessels is just extremely fun and addictive. I'll only play through once, but I'm having a hell of a time in the process. Well done!
Wow, I'm impressed. Truly - this is an amazing concept and I really really love it. I'm giving it a 5/5, though the game itself is at best a 4/5. Change the controls (use Z, X, C for weapons - non of this caps crap), give some more variety in the enemies, add some music, and (when Kong supports AS3) the Kong API and we've got a winner. But the innovation alone really already gets a perfect score. Bravo!
