Did this game get harder recently? I came back and suddenly I'm doing really badly on early levels. I never seem to be able to get a decent weapon anymore.
On level 45, I managed to turn every single letter except the A that starts in the corner white/floaty. Since you can run any floating letter past the > and then turn it floating again, that means I could make any 6-letter word involving an A, which is sort of a bug, since you have to make a particular one to win.
Goes betweeen really easy and I can't do it at all. But it was kinda fun anyway. Don't steal music, though. We all know you got the level song from Star Fox SNES.
Haha, case in point about imbalanced weapons: I just got a perfect game on Day 25 now that I've found a second laser pistol for my buddy warrior. Previously when I had zero laser pistols, I couldn't even get this far in the game.
Silent Legion: The problem isn't the challenge, it's the arbitrariness. For example: I had a really hard time getting anywhere, but then I found a laser pistol and now I'm dominating. That's bad balance: a weapon that appears only by sheer luck should not totally change the game. I think the real problem is some weapons are too weak, some are too strong, and which ones you get (and whether you get ones you can equip) is totally random. Ultimately I like it, but kinda partly out of masochism, because if the game doesn't like you you are screwed.
Bobdidit: use it to summon a lot of dragons that will kill you. (If you can survive the dragons, though, you get a medal. Can't do it myself, so I don't know if the resultant bonus is worth it.)
The randomness makes it sort of silly. In my game, the most expensive and cheapest diamonds were a day's trip apart.
Also, in GP costs, you do realize that the Vanguard is cheaper than the tank, right?
Irritating difficulty curve. I don't mind (that much) when a game is hard, but when I breeze on through until a certain level and then can't do it at all, it makes me hate the game. (And everyone telling me I made the wrong class choice or something, why are there WRONG choices?)
Fine idea, but really not very accessible to some people. "Read that"? I don't have a microphone. Now what? "Switch the light"? I have caps lock, but I don't have scroll or num lock, Is this game just impossible for someone on a laptop?
