The idea that this was intended as any type of competition for Fez or that it was hurried to "beat" the release of Fez is laughable due to the fact that THIS IS A FLASH GAME. And a damn good one. 5/5.
One shot kills versus opponents that fire fast moving projectiles isn't hard enough...? I feel that this game is a solid platformer which provides a good level of challenge. Just what we need to see more of here at kong!
Honestly, I don't think human reflexes generally go as fast as this game demands. It's more a matter of hitting it near the correct time and hoping you get lucky.
I despise games that try to appear profound and philosophical merely by being depressing. That aside, this was a decent (if easy) platformer and the grav-null device was unique enough to set it apart from many. Not a whole lot of gameplay to be had, but good enough for a 3/5.
There's not really any "Dice Rolling" going on here, unless you count the +/- 5% damage on an attack. It's pretty much set depending on how you level your character, so a better term to describe this game would probably be "Interactive Stat Developer"
Regardless of the reasoning behind the creation of this game, the fact remains that it's poor quality when compared to the rest of the reincarnation minis. Heck, it's just plain poor quality! If this is a thank-you, isn't it a bit of an insult that so little effort went into it?
Play the game even a little and you'll notice that several (if not all) of formulas given by Bzykacz in his top 5 comment for what attributes do are wrong. Please take note of this and minus his comment rather than plussing it, it's very misleading to players.
We really need an "art" section to place flash products like these. That way they can be appreciated by those who enjoy them and avoided by those who would prefer games.
Look closely at Bzykacz's data for armor protection and you'll notice it's not consistent. First a 10% increase, then a 15% increase for the same amount (2). This is followed by a 5% and 3% increase, but then it inexplicable shoots back up to 5%. Anyone who plays the game for a short while will also notice that 1 STR does NOT equal 1 physical damage. Please plus this comment and minus Bzykacz's so that nobody else will be mislead.
At least some of Bzykacz's formulas are wrong... to demonstrate this, I started a character with 10 more strength than normal and attacked an enemy. The starting weapon is 3-5 base damage, so the result should have been 13-15 damage to the enemy. Instead I got 6-10 for the weakest starting enemy. The only thing that would explain this is if the enemy had an armor value of roughly 8 (according to Bzykacz), but I really doubt those green fish at the start do. Please plus this and minus Bzykacz's comment so that nobody else will be mislead.
Fun Fact: Mitoza means Mitosis, this process by which cells divide. It makes sense, being that every choice you make splits into two more choices (even when it loops back to the start). Also, this is the only flash product I can remember giving a 1/5... truly it is random nonsense incarnate, with no story or meaning or anything else of merit. Please vote it down if you also don't like it, it's current score rivals many good games that don't deserve to be placed on the same level as this.
Ah, I see... the reason it's so highly rated is because the "artistic" folk are giving it a 5/5 for being a masterpiece. Well darn, I'm sure plenty of people see the rating and come to play it hoping for a decent game. How sad they must be when they find nothing more than branching paths of nonsense.
Playing with this toy is picking a path through a group of nonsense events. And that's all there is. No meaning, no story, no game, no nothing. Why does this appeal to people?
Essentially a "choose-your-own-Monty-Python-skit"... good graphics, but I'm embarrassed for Kong that this thing has a higher rating than many (quite good) actual games.
...just what is this supposed to be? It reminded me a bit of monty python, but I didn't find it entertaining at all. I clicked through some different sets of choices, hoping something interesting would happen, but I was sadly disappointed.
Bit of a grind when you need upgrades, but fun to play. I like that the different weapons are just that: different weapons. Their effects are radically diverse. I don't like that there's no sound, and I don't like that the last boss is... ah, impossible. I wouldn't normally say that, but I just tried him out a few times with both acid&laser weapons upgraded to near max as well as health, shielding, and regen... it wasn't even close. He blew me away in a matter of moments using things like a bullet attack that hits the whole screen, and a missile attack that fires far too many to possibly avoid. I'm all for tough bosses, but tone him down enough that beating him is actually a possibility. 4/5 without the last boss, 3/5 with him.
