Hey, so there's a neat mechanic where you can wall-jump off the bottom corner of any wall. I haven't gotten it consistently yet, but it seems to happen when holding the jump button. I used it to save myself on one level by jumping between two falling blocks.
This game seems to be more about shooting down incoming projectiles than dodging. My first playthrough I tried to dodge everything and got slaughtered. My second I stayed basically in the middle of the screen and aimed at everything and lasted twice as long - basically up to the point where I couldn't shoot down enemies faster than they spawned.
Yep that's the main mechanic, going into a survival arena blocking bullets and gainning power from that mechanic filling the bullet power bar. I DO recommend moving and blocking, since if you stay in the middle you eventually get wiped out, as you stated before. That's what I wanted to the player feel with this design.
This game is definitely designed well for mobile. But I got bored of it after 18-20 levels because while there is complexity (with the different types of blocks), there isn't any depth (i.e. sequencing never matters - just click and drag every possibility and you'll eventually win).
Having cleared 3 runs, I have to say I like this game. The basic strategy is the same for all guns - so once you can clear the game with one, you can do it with any - but it's fun to see the differences between the guns and replay with a new one. Also it's worth noting the Damage upgrade is not balanced between them - L2 has a huge impact on the AR, but L1 has a huge impact on the SMG while L2 is miniscule. That's not bad, just something to look out for. I do wish that Reload had a bigger effect though - feels like it doesn't increase reload speed at all, and if I was going to get chased down and killed before a Reload upgrade, I still will after one. I still want faster base movement speed, and Bullet Penetration appears to not work, but it's otherwise fun.
Well, overall I enjoyed the game. I liked the graphics and story well enough, and mostly the puzzles. But the puzzles were really crazy hard for me, and it seemed like every time I thought I was being clever, it was actually required for the solution or it didn't matter. And what I didn't like about the gameplay was how punishing it was - every time I made a tiny mistake, I had to reset the level. Taken altogether, I give this game 3/5.
I'm glad you liked it! :)
