So I played survivor until wave 13 and got bored. It was fun at first but eventually I ended up using the chaimara shotgun with all the mods until I got annoyed at buying ammo for it (max reload speed makes shotguns SO OP it is ridiculous) money quickly meant nothing
also perks. . . why are soldiers considered a perk rather than something to spend money with? Is melee supposed to be entirely pointless? I quickly found myself in a position where it would have been suicidal to attempt to use it.
A few balance ideas
Some of the upgrades are entirely useless
Some are so OP that there is no excuse to use the others EVER
like freeze time when you get hit all but allows you to 'cheat' with the knockback/shield combo
And the damage per 3 combo goes from entirely worthless most of the game . . . then at max level becomes SUPER OP
overall fun game though
so demonic mode is marginally more interesting than the 'classic'
that said is it fun? No, not in the slightest. Is it hard? Again, not the slightest (I got to 50 and got bored)
...I tried to like this. I even went to the 'full version' to get around the annoying lack of full screen.
But it got 2/5 from me for the exact reason a chunk of your fanbase gave it 5/5 before the game even loaded
Any chance you get rid of unarmed? Or at least make it a slight chance?
It feels like I only die when I get it and a massive wave decides to come through at just the direction of the orc...aka instant doom while I try to navigate the ever growing minefield
I enjoyed the game ALOT but my only real complaint...the potatoes are OP, half the waves are easily beaten by a potato drop soon as they spawn...also maybe don't have the units be inherently better the higher ranked you go (if that makes any sense, minus one jester I just rushed to max everyone else, speaking of upgrades the higher cost and lower cost t2 upgrades should be adjusted when going to t3)
so everyone has already said it the game is SUPER repetitive and the unlockables take forever, I don't mind the ads but please just put the game at x4 gold or something.
I'm not going to even touch on the new 'achievements' or whatever they are called or the new walls which are there for no reason other than to slow down progress even more
I would recommend it but I am entirely against any game that has premium anything, by all means sell ways to unlock things faster or level up faster or even make side-grade characters but after finishing act 1 the commander is clearly better than....well everyone else
joboyle2 I just won as necro it isn't impossible by any means (37 minutes)remember you are the only DoT class and treat it as such get 8 in necro (a few in focus depending on what items you have your going to want about 12 energy cannibalize comes first then cloud) now get fortitude...all of it as health is both your hp and your energy drain life becomes your basic attack...use it almost constantly
I really liked it a few things for the sequels though
1) when multi-attacks happen (like the bat) a dead enemy shouldn't be able to absorb the second attack (or volley in the bats case)
2) the button wheel works fine, time arrow does not cover the icons until a button is pressed (we only have 2 hands and trying to remember which attack uses which often means the time is half gone while adjusting)
3) stress (it is cool) but . . . why? rory's only attack requires so little that it may as well be his basic attack, speaking about attacks...there seems to be little/no difference between most of them damage wise
4) the time ...clock game you 'may' want to restrict the button presses to one per zone (I assume that is the intent) but as it stands now it is better to just double/triple click the biggest one
that said I really enjoyed the game :) hope it becomes a series (and if I can be of assistance feel free to ask)
Speaking of items...why even bother with gold? I ended with well over 1000 and I was spending it on massive stocks of spells/items expecting an enemy to silence you or stop item usage so better be prepared for anything
lastly..the final boss...what? if it didn't say the game ended at the end I wouldn't have noticed that I just killed it
Other than that I do think it was a great game
(part 2)
So I enjoyed the game (it reminded me of darkest dungeon which I think was your intent) but that game works on a system of losing and near loss scenarios that you still have to take sometimes. This, well the combat was kind of cool I never really paid any mind to what I was fighting because it didn't matter every fight was basically the exact same the witcher and inquisitor attack the druid heals
but well: the ai seemed to ignore that and made silly choices (better make the druid hit for less damage...it already hits for like 2 on a single target)
spells/items? They behave exactly the same so why have different tabs (or items for that matter most of the time) and what's with letting them be free actions? I could understand letting you use 1 a turn free
(part 1)
honestly I was enjoying it but there are some major problems mostly it feels empty even with 500 people
but now for game balance there really should be something to stop tiny worms from basically swarming the head of big ones and running infront with the hopes that they crash while the little ones mistiming it...big deal (seriously being over 8k points and top of the leaderboard..literally that was the biggest threat)
agario works by the 'big fish' principle while yes there are ways the smaller ones can fight it doesn't instant kill the big one (well it sometimes does but not like this) here big ones feel like the victims whose best tactic is to form a circle and just keep that up until you get bored
'how to win everything' step 1) phoenix
step 2) mass fire
...literally that is all (all you want is to boost air and fire, maybe some healing incase you are losing)
I have played this game so many times over the years that 20 days isn't even a feat for me anymore (granted I aim to kill my adventurers regularly as part of capitalizing on total exp gain and gold through their deaths)
so for anyone who needs strategy...blue is fairly simple and broken (hive mind) throw the white sacrifice..i forget it's 'white' but -3 hp to kill. and have a few of the blue cards (basically a few of each.i didnt strategize at all and won) effortlessly coast through
so I kind of enjoy this game..but if they knew about the leak and everything else why not fix it BEFORE the kickstarter? you know that way people who think it looks cool would play a working game first
Unarmed has now been significantly improved. It was pretty annoying.
