i enjoyed it don't get me wrong but very quickly I was able to effectively have infinite money, junior execs became used for major projects and even maxing out on artifacts meant nothing.
but sometimes the prices are completely insane I think at one point I bought artifacts for like 12k and sold them for 30 something (again not that it mattered as by the second year i basically was farming notoriety until I won)
lastly though the ending..there may be a ton but at least 6? of them are last second decisions
great game but the last stage..was just LONG for no apparent reason (basically once you get the first "areas" complete it becomes a marathon where you don't really risk losing unless you make a major mistake...and I did it without the new toy..or air support (literally just to try it
and I do kind of wish for a better ending but other than that I enjoyed it (and this comes from a new player I didn't play the first ones)
so how has no one pointed out that enemies who are dead still have their skills activate? (like after you kill a spider the poison still reapplies the next turn) otherwise good game (though as others have said it is quite slow)
i enjoyed it (quit after stage 7/8 respectively) but ultimately had no idea what half my skills did and gauged which is better by cost, the monsters also take way to long to eat a civilian (who often times I never saw)
the human..well similar problem (really why let me buy more hp or jetpack? I spent roughly 75% of my income on increasing my weapon and the rest on random tanks and such but never knew if they were doing anything because my gun tore through them far more efficiently than even 10 ships right next to them)
so my biggest problem isn't that my "reflexes" are to slow or anything..just your art style makes it very hard to see if a tree branch is foreground/background sometimes
I thought it was fun until the cost got so high that I was basically not buying anything (all i bought was the marble couch..seemed like a waste I'd recommend buying the 2nd or 3rd one since I never had them both resting)..then i got arrested for plowing dudes and the game ended
i enjoyed it but the enemies don't seem to "remember" moves no matter how obvious but sometimes end up with a new board and clearing half of it despite they would have no way to "remember" anything and just blindly guessed the entire time with perfection
i thought it was fun for like 3 waves..after that it was a grind..i hoped sector 2 would get harder...2 waves there and quit (it didnt) if it does later I wouldn't know it's just to slow moving and i didn't notice any difficulty curve at all
Yeah - I think the Hard Mode with a "Way Too Easy" hat would be better for some of the more skilled people. Thanks for the play and the comment though -I know it's not always a given people will bother to comment so I appreciate you taking a moment. Best, -Tim
so I got bored after about 25 stages (really how many are there)
the "strategy" is basic, if the enemies are slower than u exploit the shield time to force them to blow their ships on your newly acquired territory..for some reason all the ai seems coded that if they see a planet with a low count rush it so most stages quickly become washouts and leave the last planet death army until the end so when the resupply happens you are the only force and can counter rush it
I think it was fun/silly but the biggest problem is some of the games (like swiping) punish you for actually playing early, leaving half the board for the golden second can net you far more than the first 10 seconds completely
Thank you :)
You are right about the swiping - but here starts the strategy. The player should play accurately to leave several lines for the Golden Second to score more
it was...different but for anyone whose somehow having trouble, get the shotgun (and max it asap) then go down the long range group and buy everything, throw a point in the vacuum thing and armor whenever
I am a level 45 arcane battlemage (with stats split between the 3 skills minus agility) I have slain hundreds if not thousands with my magic (because using my sword became silly around level 20 when I could just aoe clear half the field) I have slain foes large and small (though the first large one gave me way to much exp I think) entire villages have been brought to ruin by me (and my unkillable army...seriously no1 has died in the longest time) I have so much gold that there is no reason to sell anything ever again, more runes than I know what to do with (the answer is do nothing..also forget leveling up armor I quit doing that at 30 without examining it for any stats just because it said level 30)..but my biggest weakness...my mages form a wall in front of me and I have to use weaker skills (seriously though massive aoe damage over 10k...yeah every battle is basically just slaughter them to the spawn zone and continue until it ends)
so i won the game basically ignoring the sniper rifle...like to the point the other 2 were maxed aoe speced (aka terrible for boss fights) on hard and..well spoiler alert for the final boss (since some people say it is hard) just strafe him his aim is kind of bad and if you put a few points into horse you can jump the homing rockets as they come
I think it was fun at first but after a certain point the entire game just goes into spam all the bombs and rush the units down a line, I think it would be more fun (but harder to control) if you could have mixed lines..but then again the bomb spam wouldn't be addressed
overall 4/5
ok so now I got over 500 boost before I died, but at a certain point you lose way to much control (to the point there are either inviisble walls or he just tips over) and the healing/speed is nice especially because of certain trap areas where you WILL take damage..usually quite a bit
