personally I don't like the lock-unbuyable-options system. It really limits the speed at which you can buy certain things, but perhaps you could make it optional.
could you please add a frame-rate option? It seems most of the lag comes from trying to render faster than possible (frame-rate shouldn't be much of an issue with these kind of games). A model-quality option should also help.
Why not make the gears multipliers instead of supplements? Then there shouldn't be any outpacing.
EG: str = (basestr*(1+(square-root of sword)))
def = (basedef*(1+(square-root of armor)))
However, it might take a few tries to get something that is balanced.
The upgrade list is starting to become truly unmanageable, could you please reorganize it? EG: each upgrade-type has one main-box with a mark-box for each possible purchase.
could you please add an auto-gain indication to the statistics? I'd like to know how much XP/money I get per second or minute and thus how long I'd approximately have to wait to buy a certain upgrade so that i can spend more time on other things.
ScreenBurned, are you on your second iteration or further along?
if it's not your second iteration, then you simply miscalculated the EFFECTIVE percentage. effective_percentage = ((new_percentage/current_percentage)-1)*100
I think you shouldn't lock the X10 button. even if you can't afford X10. 1 X8 click is still better than 8 X1 clicks. But I'd like to see how many CAN be bought. (with a X10 cap, of course)
autosave doesn't work, lost all my purchases but (for some strange reasons) not the cost-increases. I think you need something better than those otters.
about the newspaper/oil issue: A. oil is a 'natural' resource, newspapers are NOT. B. newspapers REQUIRE oil for production and thus have more overhead. C. It might become cheaper by buying a forest/lumber-company (solving the other resource supply issue).
A: I think I understand PART of the price 'inversion'... Oil is a raw resource, which all the others, excepting lemonade might use. B: Could you add a small bar to indicate how much of 10 units you can buy on each buy-button?
Will do!
