A quick glance at the thumbnail, the first few words of the description, and I immediately knew this was a Nerdook game. Of course, I could say that about any game and have a 35% chance of being right.
I hate to be negative, but I really hate when the highest rated comments on any given game are always talking about how it's the greatest work of art of all time. Granted, the game has plenty of good points, but the storytelling (both the writing and the way the "cutscenes" are handled) is rather clumsy. I normally wouldn't go out of my way to decry that sort of thing, since it's not that big a deal and is to be expected from a Flash game, but as a writer it really hurts me to see these kind of comments handed out so easily. I feel as if any compliments I've gotten on my own works have been meaningless, because people think the mere existence of a family abandonment plot is more important than the execution of said plot.
Is anyone else experiencing an issue where the controls will suddenly stop responding for half a second as if they've "lost connection", or is it on my end? When it happens, not only will buttons not work, but taking my finger off a button won't register either. (i.e. I'll keep moving when I try to stop.)
If an enemy is hit by a shotgun while they're offscreen, they'll disappear and won't count towards your total kills for that stage. This means you can't complete the stage. So, unless my testing was off somehow, I guess this means you just really shouldn't use shotguns.
There seems to be a glitch with the last quest. Either it doesn't count 99/100 as being "all quests completed" (since it's the 100th quest itself), or it doesn't register "Magma Valley completed" if you've already beaten the game (which you've almost certainly done by that point).
