Fomor is significantly more useful at evolution 3, when he gains wings. But gods damn he becomes all but a.d.d. "Shoot a little here, flap back a bit, shoot a bit more, and completely ignore that turret over there pelting me! Yep that'll do, master will be pleased!" |:\ How I wish that (A) Each champion came with a building preference (for attacking), or (B) you could set what they prefer to attack! I'm sure that might be a tad OP, but it would make it much easier, considering how long it takes the bloody thing to fully heal!
I have fought countless battles, nearly saved the wonderful land of Tempor, brought destruction to its enemies... and I STILL DON'T HAVE THE EASY BADGE! |:\
Methinks things that have fully upgraded or have no upgrades to begin with (ie traps, or the yard planner) should have the [upgrade] button removed, saves on menu box space and makes it easier to navigate a bit. Alternatively, this could be applied to things that cannot be upgraded unless certain prerequisites are made (ie not enough mats, higher building level, more of a certain building in yard, etc.)
Sometimes, it's just way to easy to accidentally click the "use shiny" button when you meant to click "use resources", just lost 30 hard earned shiny, thanks to the button placement. And by "hard earned" I mean I found them in shrooms, because I don't have money for flash games.
"save tempor - be it's custodian"... Be it's custodian? Did the land's greatest champion just ask me to be this land's janitor? I gotta clean up someone else's mess?
As much as I love this song in castle crashers, I think it'd be more fun if you could choose (or buy if you like) different songs from the game to fight with. This game and the Necromancer Battle... or the Level Complete Hodown, or my two personal favorites, the Forest Entrance theme and Wedding Crash!
The game always tells me to send gifts or that my monster locker is sitting unused at times in which I can do nothing. "Send free gifts to friends." it says, not 15 minutes after I sent gifts. "Your monster locker is not unlocking anything, start unlocking Crabatron" it says, even tho I have maybe a quarter of the putty I need to unlock it. Think before you speak, game.
*after playing* I wanted to make a comment that would instantly get everyone's support toward getting rid of the bill, with musical numbers, and well-spoken pointed facts, mainly referring to things people truly like, like this site, Chuck Norris, and porn, but unfortunately, my sturring speech got SOPA'd!
[Pt 2] And as soon as the above mentioned issues arise, I get stuck in a wall/corner, and my health all but FLIES down. It might be my computer, but the game as a whole feels.... CLUNKY... for lack of a better term. I don't have these problems with games like the Epic Battle Fantasy series, or most of the other games, but many of these top-down shooters always feel this way to me. Sorry, dood. A great concept, but with little proof that it's my computer, I just feel the game itself just feels too clunky. I expect and await the inevitable spam of the "-" button, however I hope everyone can respect my opinion. The game will not be rated down, but not up either.
[Pt 1] I have to be honest. I don't much care for this game. The plot, graphics, and systems are great, but the game itself, urgh, laggy. For one, in general, my character moves way too slow. Too much so. Especially when I am CONSTANTLY required to backpeddle or turn corners (mostly both), I can understand it's a tad more realistic but when coupled with the following, not so much. When something sees me, the entire game goes into lag hell! My shots are all off-key, my attacks often miss, and of course, makes the above movement much worse. My few guns (Pistol/SMG/AR) all don't pack a big enough punch, and them big bads don't go down fast enough.
Just had an idea for an interesting (and highly useful) mechanic. Camera swivel. Pressing buttons in the game, or on the keyboard (page up/down make for good examples), and the camera swivels 90 degrees. That way, even for those who don't have/want the yard planner can still see whats going on in a different direction other than the same diagonal. If you lot thinks it's worth it, give me a + (not like he'll see it), or begin sending PMs to the creator about the idea. (you can copy paste this if you wish)
"You can put towers on any clear spot, so long as it doesn't block the monsters' way"... |:\ then... WHY am I building towers? Isn't that the bloody point? Still an inhumanly awesome addicting game, but... if I do not wish to die, how about we seal me in?
Okay, now that I FINALLY have it, WHY THE HELL don't we START with the Yard Planner?! It makes things SO much easier! Haha! It's great! Granted the "map" of my place looks like nothing more than squares/circles, mousing over each object tells me what and what level it is, things are color coded, are top down view, can zoom in/out, and there's even an option which highlights the attack radius of your turrets! I think we should be starting with this option, not a room on the yard, just an awesome option for us to have at our disposal. So far this is probably the best "optional" building you can have, it's so awesome, I HAD to put quotes around "optional"!
I've been playing this game for a few months now, it's a great time killer, but still, my BIGGEST, most seething hatred comes from trying to go through the coliseum! My little level 25 T1 Birdy only ever has level 30+ T2-4 monsters to fight... all the time. I have to refresh CONSTANTLY just to find something I think I can take. Granted I don't do bad with the bird, that super combo thing on the wiki isn't there for nothing. VERY useful my bird, but still Godbird! needs something more his speed to fight, other T1's with a FEW T2's, not tons. So many Steeds (T3), and FRIGGIN DRAGONS (T4 I think), how about something a SMALL CANARY BIRD CAN BLOODY FIGHT, HMMM?!
And on a small final-ish note: Mana Staff/Mage Robe/Hat combo makes GREAT for the boss rush, if your smart about your character. Can freeze peons that attack and lay into them for MP, can dish out over 130 damage with lightning to pretty much all the bosses, and your healing heals almost ALL your HP, if not all of it. I cleared all of boss rush with it with reletive ease (in normal), and cleared all of the Foe Rush in full Viking set w/ claymore for insane damage! (also normal).
Both this and my final opinion of the game as a whole below are just my opinions, take them with a grain of salt.
