Alright, the new map room is downright awesome, my only confused problem is I don't know how to get in touch with old contacts. I see the message option for other players on the map, but I don't know how to find old contacts. If anyone knows how to get in touch with another player (even if you don't know their yard's coordinates), please let me know here or in PM. Please and thank you, folks.
As much as I love this game, my only two nitpicks are the lack of music and the gathering of EXP. With the exp, I wish it would take a traditional tower defense standpoint, just redo the level and get more exp. But then again, I suppose this way makes you appreciate your exp that much more, and value the upgrades up powerup. With the music, it's just kind of annoying, I like having sound going in the background. I remedy this problem currently by having Epic Battle Fantasy music on loop on my media player. Epic Gemcraft Labyrinth Fantasy!
Why can't you put ANY monster in a monster bunker? That's... kinda lame. If I wanna put a zafreeti healer and a DAVE in there, I should have the right! Maybe because it'd be overpowered... |:\
Oh and further, I think the "hard" badge should be relegated to "impossible" status, for while it's not hard to get in any sense, you really have to dedicate yourself to the game for at least a month or two to get it and all of this work for just a "hard" seems silly. Then again, as everyone has so blithly put it, Kixeye doesn't care so meh, it is what it is.
Even at level 34, I STILL don't understand the use of Heavy Traps. It says they explode only on the strongest monsters.... does that mean they only work on the creatures with the highest HP total? Or the most damaging? Or do they mean they only explode on champs? Anybody know? It's starting to drive me batty, haha.
There is nothing I can say that hasn't been said. This is truly an epic series. I look forward to more installments (still waiting for EBF4, I wanna see Anna's personality, but Adventure Story was a great game). If I had to pick my single most favorite aspect of this game series, it HAS to, absolutely HAS TO BE the music! HalcFalcon truly knows her (his?) music and rocks socks til the end of time. THIS was the game that brought me to the series, and it was EBF3 that brought me to this site. This game (EBF2) is probably my favorite for core fun, but all the games are equally great. Kudos Kupo, kudos.
Thanks guys for answering, and thanks to ReignPhoenix12 for the PM. I had a feeling but I prefer confirmation. I'm just getting my Town Hall to Level 6 now (2 more days), so I look forward to FINALLY getting a Level 2 Map room (and that badge), and now that I have Zafreeti, I can really start to feel the power of a higher level character! Update or no update, this game is still fun to play! Almost as high as any of the Epic Battle Fantasy series... almost. :D
Okay just now reading the comments today, everyone keeps talking about outposts. Humor me as I don't play this on other sites, but I am level 33 (almost 34), and I've never heard about outposts... what does it do and how do you get one? If someone could tell me in comments or PM, I'd appreciate it. Please and thank you.
I really need more workers. |:\
I might end up actually buying some of shiny, just to get the last two assistance, and maybe some of the other perm powerups (expansive yard, and increased capacity in silos). Wonder how much $$$ that'll add up to. |:\
This could be very wrong, but I have a theory about golden mushrooms. It seems to me that the longer I take to pluck a shroom, the more gold it seems to have in it. Could it be that by waiting a while before plucking shrooms you not only increase the odds of it having gold inside it, but further increase the gold within? I say this because I stopped playing for a few months (due to lack of internet), and when I came back I had a good 10-15 shrooms on my lawn. And a good 8 of them had shiny in them. And of them, I'd say six of the shrooms had 8 shiny each. I can prove this or anything, but it's just a notion I came up with. Maybe you guys can figure it out.
Just got the hatchery control center (finally), and here are my first impressions: First off, each hatchery has 4 slots for monster creation. However, with 5 hatcheries, I should have 20 slots. But once I got the HCC, I now have 7 slots, and can ONLY use the HCC, I just lost 13 slots! Second, while it's so much easier to manuver getting monsters, once a stack is set and you go to another, you can't go back and place more in a previous stack. Example, I place 6 fink in the first slot, then 20 fang in the second slot, but after placing the 20 fang, I click "finks" again, and instead of adding them to the 6-fink slot, it starts filling a new slot.. not happy about that. Third, and this is just a suggestion that will not be given any heed, but a small timer telling how long TOTAL to empty all of the slots would be awesome! Knowing how long to wait before coming back to the game would be great.
Hmm I beat the game... so.... what should I do with all this money? ..... |:\ ..... I know~! Completely unlock the map for the ship builder, then fill it up with lightning, magnets, and lasers! Perfect.
Truly an epic game among games... but could most certainly require a "Lag reducer" upgrade, as even the quality didn't help, or at least an upgrade that adds a "level effects" button, that shake kills my computer.
My view on this game after completion (95%). I like the map, and the "puzzles" to get to the items, reminds me quite a bit of old school metroid. I like the spells, and more often than not, once I got Gust, I didn't use anything else. Used douse quite a bit in "post game cleanup" and on final boss, a great shotgun spell. My biggest complaints are that while I liked the music, it did get pretty old after a while, maybe if each area had it's own song, I'd be less whiny about that. My only other real complaint is that sometimes the map reclouded after I quit for a while, and I'd have to "regather" the map. I suppose if I wanted to be knit-picky I could point out that the final boss is a bit of a joke, and that the cat never played any music for me, it was just what I was listening to before, never changed (remind me to destroy cat later). Other than that, pretty good game, and a great platformer!
