The mechanics of the game is good. The game design, however, is not. Triggering monster arrivals to the player's actions make combat simply a matter of whack-a-mole and make the whole game world seem much less immersive. It also makes sneaking and scouting obsolete, as the enemies are simply an extension of the player and not entities by themselves.
Wonderful game but it has a fatal flaw. When I am told to put Y in the beginning and X in the end without using the "ONLY" logical operator, there is no justification to fail my machine when it erases everything on the tape and puts the required elements in their respective places.
Would have been 5/5 if not for the pixel hunt quest that is the search for the last clock piece. You should not pad out a nice game with a useless pixel hunt. As it stands, it's a 3/5.
Nice effort. It would be nice to be able to move the monk around rather than have him as an additional, weak tower. The game can be won with a combination of strong Earth and Wind towers, pulverizing and pushing the enemies back respectively.
Good game. I concentrated all my skills on the archers and the mages and won without using a single melee unit in the latter stages. It's also possible to win without using any potions and without the goblin's last invention...albeit it is fun :)
Inspired by Lovecraft's Call of the Ctulhu universe maybe ? :) Very nice...would have been 5/5 if not for the lynx painting puzzle..which is pretty ad hoc :) As it stands..a nice 4/5
"Protect the Goblin engineer until he finishes his contraption for us" OK!. *Goblin tinkers away, I protect him dutifully.* *Goblin finishes and exists the scene?!* I knew it! Never trust a Goblin...he betrayed us!...wait...Goblin is back with.... That in itself was worth 5/5 :)
Excellent horror ambiance game. The only thing I would add is perhaps a book of peasant lore that describes the ingredients of the potion. There is no reason provided for that particular potion to be identified as "finished" or effective in-game. Otherwise...really good.
I really think you should be able to test weapons before you buy them and, failing that, you should be able to sell weapons that turn out to be not what you wanted.
Nice game. Rather difficult to complete the last two challenges unharmed without th right strategy. The right one, as I learned from my Konging friends, is to have 4 lines of spikes, one of barricades and three of archers , all maxed and to use the cannon, shotgun and arrows combo in quick succession, i.e (3,2,1 -3,2,1 etc) on the big monsters.
Very nice game. Difficulty wise it is medium to hard but nothing near Moneyseize, which, up to date, remains the hardest game in the universe to win with full score.
