The game is pretty run of the mill, but has some good enemy design. Unfortunately, it's dragged down by the ridiculously large amount of health you have, making it virtually impossible to die. The game is just waaaay too easy.
Alright, so the original games were far from perfect, and had quite a few problems, but this is just a mess. The new cartoony/anime art style isn't very attractive, the removal of the combat grid makes action an indecipherable mass of bodies and damage markers, and the commander mechanic is tedious and unpolished to the point where it's just ignored, and it can be because the game is just too easy. Nostalgia might make the original two games seem better in my mind than they actually were, but I'm pretty certain they were better than this. 2/5
This game is designed so that it's pretty much impossible to dodge everything, leading you to win only trough grinding for upgrades, which is pretty lame. 2/5
Very nice and unique game in a sea of derivative BS, technical problems still hold it back a bit though, as well as balancing issues which some seemed to experience, but I avoided by accident. Had lots of fun with this. 4/5
This game is well put together technically and artistically, but the gameplay is so simple, and provides too little a challenge to be worth playing. 3/5
What a legend of a game. I'm utterly amazed it's still alive after all these years. And what's more, it's been UPDATED. Like, good lord, 10/10 dedication.
That was fantastic. Aside from the sub-par voice acting, both story and mechanics were wholly unique and interesting. It also had the skill to hit the sweet spot between challenge and fun.
I like how you have to dodge bullets, but the game is way too easy and generic otherwise. The axe guys are really your only problem, but even then, you become almost invincible pretty quick. 3/5
Just a very lackluster game. Thing thing has shown no improvement over like 4 or 5 games. No new features or mechanics, and nowhere near the spectacular second arena game.
Much better than a lot of the crap coming here nowadays, but the AI is abysmal. The workers need a better understanding of priority in powerlines and repairs, as well as the ability to retreat so that they don't get themselves killed.4/5
An interesting mix of Realm of the Mad God and Hack Slash Crawl, but it's far too easy and repetitive. Health regeneration items and the ability to scrap items for exp are gamebreakingly overpowered.
I am absolutely perplexed at the amount of positive reviews on this game. I can do nothing other than give it to you straight. This game is utter trash. First off, it's ugly to look at, yet is horribly optimized and runs godawful slow. The actual gameplay is about as generic as you can possibly get. Its got hitscan weapons, an x shaped hitmarker, a standard 16 player cap, a typical unlock/loadout/level up system, and a 3 perk system. Even the controls limit you to the most basic of functions. You can't even crouch, only prone or stand, let alone lean or vault. To top things off, the UI is terrible, and requiring a match to be full before it starts is such a frustrating design decision, especially in a game with a community as small as this one. I'll give a 2/5 for effort, because I know that games are hard to make, and this is probably your first attempt. I implore you to not try to make any money off of this game, because it really is bad, and you will end up failing.
