Oh man, what a sh*tty way to abuse players with that blasting loud incredibly annoying intro that just keeps going. My god, put a f*cking stake in its heart and kill it please. I guarantee you, that one thing alone dropped this game from the coveted four star plus rating that it otherwise definitely deserves.
@Hyptosis - Thanks for the response. It was kind of hard to tell by the ending whether the story was finished, was hoping there was more to it. I still think this episode was on the short side, but you've created a wonderful environment to build on and am relieved to hear the story continues.
Hmm. Well, I love the artwork and the atmosphere, a lot of care went into both and it shows. However, overall this seems unfinished. The ending and epilogue seemed abruptly tacked on, like had-to-rush-out-to-catch-a-bus tacked on. A lot of depth and intrigue building up to it, only to finish with "Well, no one knows what happened, or why, or who was responsible. But everyone lived happily ever after anyway". Really? I truly hope this is a short stop in between episodes 1 and 3.
SPOILER -- I'm working on 3 now. I don't think everyone lived happily ever after, some guy might have murdered his brother for personal gain, and got away with it. That sounds like a non happily ever after type thing.
Before anyone downrates the game unnecessarily, please note: 1) Yes it is small, but zooms up with your browser zoom. 2) If you don't want your workers to attack, disable their "Guard" job in the "Jobs" menu and make sure there isn't an enemy building currently "targeted" 3) If your workers aren't building, they are likely waiting for materials to be transported to the site, clicking on the building will tell you how many metal (m:) and components (c:) items are needed before building can start. 4) You might also be out of needed material for building to start. 5) Workers have to do other things besides their assigned job function, such as eat/sleep, which is another reason why they may not be building/collecting at the moment 6) Don't play this in IE (yet), problem with the game save, bug has been reported. 7) This game rocks, especially once you get the hang of it. Rate it after you've played it for a while.
Yep. Game lock at level 20, and bye bye save game, just like lots of others here. Real shame, was enjoying it until then. However, only 3/5 because of that nasty bug.
@mlcloud - Yes, that's exactly what I'm finding. It is the feeder grubs I'm having trouble with. Someone post how to defeat a wave of those in survival, I'm out of ideas.
What the heck is that invincible mass on level 24 of Hardcore Survival that is completely oblivious to attack? I've tried 3 different tower configurations and continual nukes and can't make a dent. Anyone figure this out? I'm guessing buried in the middle there's a boss that does mass regeneration, but it instantly regenerates any damage to all creatures around it. Stumped. Awesome game though, great work on the detail.
Very welcome updates, thanks! Makes the boss rush much more palatable. And for those who haven't gotten it yet, the mega artifact is well worth it, significant upgrade. It's a shame with the improvements you've made, there isn't a way to go back and reset the lower ratings people gave it. The game is much better now than the 3.5 it currently has.
There's a lot to like about this game. However, I don't think it's realistic to expect people to grind through the same levels over and over again to farm for artifacts. I'm trying to go through the process and after two hours ... ugh. Just too tedious. Think you need to shorten the level lengths to start with. Awesome touch being able to sell the artifacts for extra upgrades though, makes all that extra cash in later gameplay worthwhile. 4/5
Such a great game, great depth. Seeing lots of people complain about the Irish Giants, not sure why. Once you get the machine gun you slice right through them. Ninjas are more trouble than the giants. And some of the best advice here posted: sell your items to get cash for better weapons. Especially since you can sell your weapons at cost. I actually ended up using the machine gun for most of the game. And omg, why is this game only rated 3.5??????
Thank you very much! You are the true defender! :)
Personally I agree that ninjas are bigger problem than the giants. To kill them the player needs to change aim really quick.
@bzykacz yes, I don't clear my cookies or have it set to delete files after exiting. I've never had a problem with games saving on Kong in almost 5 years now, this is the first one. If most people aren't having this problem, then have no clue what could be different about my machine.
Ok, this game does *not* save. At least not for me. I've lost my game progress on two different machines in three different browsers. I can't image I'm the only one with this problem.
Love these games, but yes, as many have said here: controls are unreliable. First five levels, every time I died was due to jump not working. Very frustrating 3/5.
Love this game, but p*sses me off when my missle racks destroy my own units/structures. Makes them more of a liability, especially in defense levels. A good solid 4/5 from me though.
Seems to be a bit inconsistent with what look to be dead on hits actually missing the target. Successful headshots are also a bit odd, what looks like a headshot many times isn't, and vice versa. However, am absolutely loving this game. Once you shore up your aiming skills, it's great fun. Vastly underrated with it's 3.5 score. Am giving it 5/5.
Towards the end, I lost count of how many clicks the game didn't register, sometimes multiple clicks on the same cells? Come on. Probably added an extra 2-3 minutes on to my final time.
^5 You bet! Thanks for the feedback! ^_^
