@ZeroAR - They do actually count, I just verified that. However, if you swap back and forth, the crusader levels don't always update along with the swap, I just noticed. That might be what you're seeing. Minor bug by the looks of it.
For those who haven't seen it yet, the devs just posted an alert saying they're aware of the server issues, working on the problem. Pretty decent response time on their part, especially for a Sunday morning.
@abyssoft - Yes, does for me too. However, I discovered that when you load Mars, it seems to ignore the first 5-10 clicks. I've started clicking on the page (anywhere) a few times as soon as Mars loads and seems to clear up the delay, can start playing right away. At least it seems to work for me.
A very welcome update, thanks! Adding the Holybars to the vortex was a smart move too, effective way to increase play counts. For those asking, you can use Holybars in the Market.
@hugpuffs - There's actually a better way to do it, someone posted in forum. Hold down ALT, press CTRL+SHIFT, release CTRL+SHIFT, then release ALT. It will stay at 25 purchases. Very handy. Same method works for 100 purchases.
@BreezeKeeper - Outside of buying them with rubies, you can still randomly get jeweled chests when defeating a boss, but it's extremely rare. I've done 28 resets so far with 173 chests, only one of those dropped was a jeweled chest. The chance I'm guessing is probably around 1%.
@codename_enter - I prob saw the coin and horn as buffs. But I still don't ever remember not seeing actual crusader equipment in the chests, which is why I thought something changed. The next thee I opened did indeed have equipment as you say. Maybe I've been lucky up to now :-p . Anyway, thanks for your response.
Besides the no-gold fix, did something else change with the chest loot? I used to always get one piece of crusader equipment, every time. Since the patch, I've opened up three chests and have only gotten gold or buffs, no equipment. I'm afraid to open any more, since the equipment was prob the best item in the chests.
Hi Sydor, The only thing we did in chests was the no-gold fix. Looking at your play history you got a Wooden Lucky Coin, a Wooden Horn, a Silver Amulet of Thunderstorms for Thalia and duplicate Lizzard Skin Mitts which resulted in an Enchantment Point for Natalie Dragon. That's one equipment per Silver chest opened.
@kittemple - I was just going to post something myself. I'm not getting crashes, but things are definitely slower today than yesterday, especially in the higher levels. Delays of 15-20 seconds when clicking something and then actually seeing the result. Was not happening yesterday. btw @kittemple, try using FF or IE instead of Chrome, you'll get better performance overall.
Can't believe I'm saying this, but runs way smoother on IE10. The game just chugs on Chrome, which has over the past couple of years become a bloated pig on resources. Ready to abandon it all together for IE or FF.
Had a good laugh when I realized what the "ha ha" "tickle" "tee hee" captions meant :D. So many details put into this game, this is true game development. Tons of well thought out of features and depth (automatic +1 rating for separate mute music btw). Top shelf entry devs!
@Sandoumir - And I thought I got screwed, did that same PL22 jump only three hours ago. Sigh, well it's a welcome update regardless, thanks Devs. One request: bring back the 1000 buy. I rely on that one heavily after resets. Don't mind doing the extra click to change multipliers.
I believe now it's a scaling problem with the window itself. If you have your browser window in full screen, or taking up much of the screen, it doesn't happen. However, if you resize the window to a smaller size, eventually the line will jump.
@Sandoumir - No, this happens to me as well. I don't have my browser zoomed in or any other unusual display settings. Standard Chrome, no messing around with settings.
Personally, I don't mind the notifications when there's an upgrade available. The color ... not so much. An option to turn off would be good for people who don't like it. What really baffles me though is the building requirement for buying discount upgrades. Huge pain having to go back and forth, and really slows down the resets. If it was needed to fix the zero cost purchase, you guys gotta find another way to accommodate it.
Thanks to you and all our awesome Kongregate fans for getting us there. =)
