Awesome update. But I have to agree with other posts here, progress seems really slow now. I used to get 3-4 managers in the span of a couple of hours. Now, it took over 5 hours just to get one? Something's off ...
Great update, some much needed features. One request: on the Upgrades screen, can you move the "Buy Max" button to the top, or close to the top? 9 times out of 10 it will be the button you always use, but it's way at the bottom. Thanks.
Something else that just occurred to me. When selecting multiple upgrades in the Atomic Lab for a single resource, say the Farm for example with 6 upgrades, I'll click on the button six times but quite often it will miss a click and only register 5 clicks. This is all with the mouse over the same button capturing both mouse on and release events. In this case at least, it's definitely dropping clicks. Whether its the same kind of event that's missing clicks on other buttons, hard to say.
@Sandoumir - Yes I supposed that could be it. Wonder if they could change to the mouse on event. Trade offs with either method you use, would have to be a design decision. I was also wondering if they switch images during the button animation on the hover over event. If the mouse release event will only respond if it happens on the final image after animation, if you click too fast on the non-animated image it won't register?
@Sandoumir - Yes I know what you're saying. But these are deliberate clicks, with the release over the button. I don't notice this with other games. So you don't have the same problem? Wondering if is something just on my machine then.
Really enjoying the game. Most annoying thing however: buttons tend to be unresponsive. I'd say 1 out of every 4 clicks gets ignored, have to click buttons twice way too often to get a response. Especially aggravating when doing frequent resets after a few vortex jumps. I'm using Chrome, don't know if FF is any better?
Trying to get used to the new UI. Not a fan of the pop up menu, not sure what it really buys you. The new City Facilities screen however is awesome, vast improvement. It's also really handy having the current resources listed in the upgrade pages. Very nice. That popup menu though ... hmmm
"Army capacity is reduced by enemies who make it across the screen." Ah, and I was just ignoring those guys, to my detriment obviously. Makes sense then, thanks for the clarify.
It's ok, decent start to a potentially better game in the future. Why does my max army size keep getting reduced the further I go? If it's just a mechanism to increase difficulty, then it's a cheap and annoying way to do it. Lanes seem to become irrelevant, other than always trying to send the next unit from wherever your king is. Archers and wizards seem weak, I just went 20 times farther by not using them at all, only using knights. 3/5 at this point, but am hopeful about upcoming improvements.
@Airek - Healing potion is not the rare item, has been around since beginning. It just drops less often than the other spells. @Naucien - The Raid Reset item is sold by the merchant. It *could* be the new rare item, as I've only seen it once so far, yesterday. Have been playing from the start, all my guys are now at level 220, and I only have the one.
@Pitforest - Thanks for quick response. Yeah, I had a feeling was cache files, was reading something about the js localStorage function. It's just nice doing the network sync, I can do all games at once as opposed to individual export, copy to second machine, and then import. Will perservere :p
Where are the actual save game files actually stored on your drive? Not sure how it works for HTML5 games. I usually sync directories through shared folders over my network, want to do the same with this game if I can.
The ones you export in the options get stored wherever your browser typically stores files (for example, on Chrome your users Download directory by default). The automatic savegame is not saved to a file. Rather, there's the HTML5 construct of "localStorage", which is kind of a local cache inside your browser that shouldn't get deleted unless the user specifically asks for it. If you want to make backup of your saves or sync them, I suggest regularly exporting them (via the options menu in the bottom right).
@thechubbs23 - Yeah noticed that too. Think it's the latter: don't do damage after a certain range (or don't do damage at all, period???). I noticed this especially during the raids, where the enemies take several hits to kill. I saw four arrow wail on a secondary enemy while the first was still being attacked: no damage. Good to see the dev is planning fixes. Oh and 5/5 from me btw :)
That actually happened to me the other day. I started up the game, left it starting up while I did things in a different window, came back to it and had zero progress, save game did not load. Closed the browser, restarted, and everything was back, all my progress. Very strange. Must be a timing issue on load? I seem to remember also that I didn't get the blue startup screen when the game failed to load, but can't remember exactly.
@Parahacker lol fair enough :) . I finally hit level 7 about a week and a half ago. I'm now at level 10. You're right in that it's not hard. I reset usually at least twice a day, but don't spent every minute micro managing it. I still find the game holds my interest, but I suppose it comes down to personal preference. I'm really curious what the upcoming "surprise" is, might breathe some new life into the game :D
@DragoonMaster11 People aren't downvoting you for giving criticism, they vote to show whether they agree/disagree with your ideas for the game. Personally, I also found the effort to move from 6 to 7 long, but not unreasonable, especially with having frequent resets and office managers to purchase regularly. I don't think level 6 progression needs tweaking, so I downvoted the comment to say I don't agree with changing it. Wasn't personal :)
Slow between lvl 6 to 7? Yeah, but purchasing the managers comes along often enough to keep interest, at least for me. Takes around a day to build enough to buy the next one, and the benefits for each is fairly significant. I'm about to buy the next one for 2.542 DuoVigin, which gives 7x sector production. The next one at 9.257 DuoVigin gives 1000x material production. Think by that time it will tip me over the 7th level barrier. This *is* an idle game after all, so I'm ok with the pace.
thanks for the suggestion :) we will do that on the next update. Seems like a nice idea :)
