Well this is BS. As a juggernaut, as of yet, I only have one move that stuns, with a 2 secnd cast time and 30 second cooldown time. Yet you expect me to beat a boss that can heal himself to full with a move that has 4 second cast time and 25 second cooldown? Does not compute.
4/5.
Complaints are that taint shouldn't be discarded when their life gets down to 1; it can just be ineffective. Also the animations and wait times are waaaay too long. It takes a full four seconds of pointless waiting at the start of every game, and many more throughout. Etc.
I wholeheartedly agree with Bennie. I might also like to add that there is an extremely flawed gameplay mechanic: A limit to how big you can get. This means you have to *let* the opponent get the proteins until it splits. That is not fun. The eating mechanic simply does not work well at all, the virus-protein relationship isn't fully explained, action commands are confusing and useless, etc. 3/5
4/5aved. Very good concept and fair implementation. There should be much more levels; the first nine or so were basically tutorials, leaving you with only three really meaty ones, and rather out of place, the last is a cakewalk, comparable to level 9. Two challenging levels, all in all. Needs conditionals, more levels, and perhaps even a third function box in later levels to add to the complexity. This has a lot of potential, but it needs to use it.
Would be great were it not for the glaring design flaws. Really now.
It's hard to see tiles.
You can't restore health.
No hotkeys.
Slippery Slope Syndrome.
Etc.
Pretty darned unpolished. I'm sorry, but I'm going to factor in the lack of art. If you don't have the art, wait until you do, THEN release it.
Regardless, the "Rank" system is horribly flawed. It's a textbook example of "Slippery Slope:" If you have a lower rank, it's harder to gain ranks, because you opponent is frankly better than you. When it's harder to gain ranks, you start falling behind more and more until the difference makes it nigh unplayable. 3/5
