I expected this to have a top and bottom plane as well. The sudden wrap instead was unexpected, although having it wrap instead of having an extra plane, may have some benefits in navigating to the targets.
I found the response time quite acceptable personally, although it is hard to navigate back through small spaces, that's to be expected.
I like the graphics a lot. Especially the way you can see where the next item is by looking straight through the board.
Yes, the scoring screen is really slow and can't be skipped - It's particularly annoying since there is really very little to score. In addition I feel 'restarting' a level should reset your level score. Otherwise you need to quit out and continue to reset 'properly'
Am I seeing this right? One easy Sudoku puzzle that doesn't check your answers? I guess using text boxes is a slight improvement over paper. Barely a game.
Collision detection seems kinda spotty, and the way the play is designed, it seems quite hard to avoid the enemies through skill for any period of time (especially if they pop in front of you.)
I like the control and music well enough, it seems the bonus circles are undervalued because of the bonus for distance (and therefore boost.)
I don't really like message games. Especially when the message (in gameplay) is "This game is too hard, so you lose." Games designed to make you lose = bad
Nice part of a game. Would be a bit better if it had an ending, which it doesn't (at least not on here.)
The 'games' are inane as hell coin flipping being the worst. Most of them control very poorly too, but I suppose thats kind of the point.
not that I don't like this, but as a game it really isn't very good. Add some combos, levels, other penalty people, required clear scores, and up the score per hit to something like 100 so it looks more meaningful... Then you'd have something to play.
Last several puzzles are a bit same-y to say the least, and since they require no timing, quite dull after solving the first. Parts of the game remind me of the old board game avalanche, but I rather like that game =P
Favorite level is probably the one with all the little balls... it's refreshing to have the feeling of a break from the exactness required on some of the levels.
Not a bad start. I like that you implemented the Kongregate High Score thing. From the description I was expecting more along the lines of dodging defense missiles, rather than blowing up asteroids. Nuke is underpowered, it should completely destroy non-boss asteroids. I personally find the screen too narrow to really do much avoidance planning. that the asteroids seem to do a sort of delayed wrap around seems odd... Especially given that it doesn't appear your shots do anything of the sort. The star field is fine. Sure the nuke gfx could be improved, it seems to be a full screen attack, but doesn't display that way, which is what bothers me the most about it... some indicator that it's screen wide would help. Obviously the game also needs an end, and an ending.
The wrap-around borders adds a lot to this... it gets quite difficult to tell whats going on when you're snaking through 4 walls. Playing area is a bit small... It also might be nice to have some variety, for leveling, or something (some different backgrounds, different color sets, things like that.)
Kinda mindless and repetitive, but thats not that unusual for scrolling shooter =]. Good fun all the same. Upgrade system was nice to have, but a little frustrating to work with.
