I enjoyed, it a few puzzles stumped me for a while, but I didn't resort to the walkthrough. The last level might disappoint some, but I found it funny. I was thinking about every detail of 3D shape and color and wondering if I was going to be able to figure it out until I reached the bottom.
Oh no! We are being attacked by a fire breathing lizard, if only the zoning commission hadn't allowed the suspension of wrecking balls and TNT over the city we might stand a chance!
The instructions should explain the role of 'supply'. I couldn't figure out for a while why I didn't seem to be able to spend all my money. Easily won the next game on 'normal'.
Badges aside, I really like the game for the simple fun of it, making it multiplayer was brilliant, I expect there will be lots of clones of this idea.
I agree that was a very easy medium badge. Kind of like getting a medium badge for completing the tutorial on another more complex game. The key for me to get 1000 meters was to realize that it mattered how long I held the jump key.
The only thing cursed about this game is my productivity. Like the first set of levels these get more challenging to the point that you may have to grind a few for exp. The 3 tower types once again combine with the terrain to suggest different approaches. Although I find myself mostly sticking to my favorite upgrade paths.
It's a rough start, died about 8 times before I figured out if it was bad controls, bad jump/collision logic, or getting shot at from very hidden baddies.
Game balance and difficulty seem off a bit playing normal. So far I haven't found any ranged unit strategy that beats spamming melee units and healing them like crazy.
Twice I've been stuck to the underside of a platform. Once I was able to wiggle out of it somehow, but the other time I had to restart. I had lots of balloons and other stuff on me both times. The 2nd time I'm in area 16, stuck on the right side, and I can see 3 sets of spikes to the left.
Having finally beat 10, and then beat 11 on the first try like all the other levels before 10, I can say that 10 is way more micromagement and requires much more understanding of the mechanics of the game than all the levels leading up to it. Even with the walk through I had to really study what was going on to 'get it'.
