Man, with all these comments I thought the ending was going to be, like, just a screen with huge lettering that said "HAHA SUCKERS GET THE IPAD VERSION OR YOU'LL NEVER SEE THE ENDING! YOU'LL ALSO DIE ALONE IF YOU DON'T OWN A MOBILE DEVICE!"...but it was just a somewhat unsatisfying cutscene then a message regarding getting the full version on your I-whatever. That's kind of not that terrible. Perhaps we should have gotten a bit more closure, and we likely could have done without the ads, but aside from that the developer did nothing wrong, and hell, other than the lack of an unlimited mode, what's here is about as much or more than the last game. So what exactly are people basing the claim that the game is 'incomplete' on? The end cutscene? So if the screen would have just said "Game complete!" then sent you back to the menu, the game would have somehow been far superior? I think the problem here is with the players, not the developer.

And actually I think I lied. Just holding backwards/up is increasingly unreliable over time as there appear to be less and less organic enemies to eat. That's only one method though. You can also get no hunger pains and then spikes at the end, then wait until your worm is large/fast enough to fly naturally (By exiting the ground at as low an angle as possible and holding backwards/up. There's a sweet spot as far as size/speed for that. If you aren't fast enough you won't be able to, but once you get too large you'll lose the ability to do so) then just start to hover out and hold backwards, up, and space. The spikes will continually shoot out, killing enemies and granting you points, but you won't gain size because you aren't actually eating them. You'll also get rather large combos. Either way, my point is that there are multiple ways in which high scores become about time rather than skill, the biggest of which is the ability to just hit 'try again' if you die.

Steps to getting a ridiculous high score: #1) Get wormy so its head is around as big as your screen (don't get flying at the end). #2) press forward and up (backwards and up technically) and hold those suckers. Mr. wormy should be self sustaining. #3) While holding those keys, click off the game screen then release the keys so dah woim keeps going. I suppose taping/jamming the keys down would work too. #4) Go and: open another window/cook dinner/to bed/on vacation/to college to get a degree and make your parents proud for once/fondle your spectacular breasts for a bit/all of the above (except that second last one unless you're a female, or maybe a chubby dude) #5) Come back. #6) Profit. Or you could just quit and go about your business (If you're a chick still fondle your boobies though. Send me a picture...ya know, so I can make sure you're doing it correctly...), since high score here is about wasting time, not being skillful.

It's ok, but it's still frustrating how much luck is involved. Being able to save a tile is nice, but I think more like 2 or 3 save-able tiles would be better. Just anything so that you aren't losing simply because you get, say, a ridiculous string of houses with no number booster thingers of any sort.

Is there something wrong with proc? Because now just starting a new game now I'll attack something, every once in a while the proc thinger will pop up...and nothing happens. I get purple numbers and the proc word, but no spell comes out. That would kind of defeat the whole purpose. I'm assuming that's a bug, because if it isn't I'd sure like to know what the heck proc does currently then.

Aha! They thought I wasn't paying attention to the American chick's name...well I was, and I happened to notice that her name changed from Lt. Abigail Steamfox to Lt. Abigail Ladyfox from the 1st mission to the 2nd. I then considered the possibility that she had enough time between missions to get married to a guy with the last name "Ladyfox" who never got a name change, but alas, she is wearing no ring, so that is apparently not the case. Therefore, I can only conclude that either A) she is giving me a false name in the interest of possible future romantic liaisons (they're always a possibility when I'm involved) and got it mixed up, or B) this is some sort of game and the developer made a mistake. I find that highly unlikely though; war is no game! Little pixel people are dying here! And I just noticed that there is the sound of a rattlesnake incessantly playing in the background. Strange.

Also, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but for some reason my freaking weapons randomly get stuck. I'll be going about my business, and with no prompting (or at least none that I can tell. I am usually in combat, and that does sometimes involve a fair bit of flailing, as my last comment stated) I'll suddenly find myself completely unable to switch weapons. I can still throw grenades and I can still reload and shoot, but I can't switch weapons. I see what look like tiny locks down on the bottom of the screen next to my weapons, but they're never actually addressed as far as I can tell...

I *HATE* when games do things automatically for me. I'm not a fan of not being in control of my surroundings (therapy never helped much in that regard). The thing is that manual mode is just really backwards and hard to use...heck, it's literally backwards; your starter weps are assigned to the last keys. Maybe that had something to do with their proximity to the R button, but it's still silly. Also, more importantly, why aren't Q and E used to change weps too? If I'm using my first few a good 70% of the time, it's really very annoying having to reach up and hit a specific key all the time just to scroll over by one. Having to constantly flail at the number keys caused me immense trouble and made everything ridiculously chaotic (and made my arms hurt from frustratedly mashing keys as bugs swarmed me)...but it still beat out auto switching. Otherwise this was all rather good though and I enjoyed mashin' all them buggies.

I'm so sad. I normally don't get very into games like this, and now it's all done. Also, I thought for sure that somehow in the last battle the pumpkin would end up being sacrificed in some fashion in order to win. It would be really poetic that the pumpkin, in its final days, would be the one to come through and procure our ultimate victory. I do have to say that while the game itself felt pretty well done, the ending still felt inappropriately abrupt and unsentimental. What is Mr. Wolffellowmanthing going to do about all them escapin' fiends? Does this chick we've been running around trying to save for god only knows how long have anything to say to us? How do the townsfolk react? Aren't they like "Ah shit, I always suspected he was a hardcore G with his furry, pumpkin flavored demon slaying. He even brought the woman back too!"? Does she survive the inner cranial bleeding she's likely suffering after getting slugged by such a badass? I want answers damn it!

Developer response from Hyptosis

hahahaha, well, SOME of that is answered, in hood 3 the townspeople pretty much wrote the situation off as completed. And I didn't want pumpkin to actually hold power over the archdemon, since he was supposed to be 'special' There are a lot of variables to making an ending too. The file size, how much time do I have to draw and paint frames, they go by so fast in game, but take days to draw and paint. :D Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback. It means a lot to me!

There is something undeniably creepy about the logo with the little flailing legs. I always hope that when it falls off the side of the player select thing that it will stay away for forever, but it just reappears again with its disembodied legs...that aside I'm a pretty big fan. I've seriously played multiple hundred single player matches at this point. It's crazy.

Haha :D I bet there's a reason why no other game has a jumping logo with legs.

Ah, you don't even get to see an ending without buying the full version. Lamesauce. What's here is certainly good though...just not quite enough for me to pay 15 friggin' bucks for it. That's big money right there. Don't get me wrong, I probably wouldn't pay anything (maybe a dollar, but this is certainly worth more than that...) since I'm one of the cheapest bastards one could ever hope to meet, but at something like 5 or 10 dollars it would at least appear to be worth more consideration.

Gah, 1 is the smallest number. Therefore, 1 should also correspond to the lightest, smallest sheep. 3 is the largest. It should correspond to the largest sheep. Number 1 is on the left. Things are almost always ordered smallest to largest, so in my mind the sheep on the left should automatically be the smallest sheep. Did the developer intentionally put the sheep in a counter intuitive order just to screw with us? Because I swear, 1/2 the time I spend is just on hitting the wrong number over and over again.

Developer response from aardman

Hi uberpenguin, we have debated the number controls A LOT and there's good arguments for both options. If you go into settings on the start screen, you can flip the controls so that Timmy becomes 1 and Shirley becomes 3. Hope that helps!

Is luck incorrectly labeled? Because it says that it takes up 35 mana, but it appears to be using up 45. Of course math is a pretty weak subject for me and the universe likes making me look dumb, so it wouldn't surprise me if I went back and a few minutes down the line realized I was just subtracting incorrectly...

Wowza, there is a very, very, very bad memory leak going on somewhere here. It literally takes me about 5-10 minutes for my FPS to begin to decrease rather drastically, and by the time 30-40 minutes have passed the game become virtually unplayable. That's extremely annoying, especially seeing as if a level ends up taking you a long time and you, god forbid, use a power up, you can't just leave and refresh the browser as not only will that delete your design, it will also result in entirely wasting the powerup, as it doesn't matter whether or not you finish the level; you still don't get that back.

Well, apparently not only is the developer bad at making games, but clearly they also fail at simply copying others' work. When you can't even properly steal work from other people you've reached a level of failure that many individuals will likely never even witness let alone experience personally...

Idk, I liked 2 superheros in back and 2 ninjas in front. That aside, I was kind of hoping for some sort of ending...I mean, I'm still not even entirely sure I actually won. I think I did; I defeated the king alien's ship then destroyed him. The problem is that then the screen just fades out and goes to the stat screen, exactly the same as when you lose. There is no recognition whatsoever that you did anything special. That's not cool yo.
