Dude, with this game being as buggy as it is I had expected for there to have been an update of some sort by this point. I originally rated it alright since I could tell that the game could be rather good if it actually worked, but that was assuming that the developer wouldn't be so lazy as to leave a game as broken as this. If you aren't planning on fixing any of it, why the hell did you even make it in the first place? Why would someone put the work in to put together a game but refuse to go the extra little distance to make sure bugs were ironed out?
There also appears to be a severe memory leak going on here, because it seriously takes about 10 minutes for the game's performance to degrade to the point of unplayability.
I like what's here, but I have to admit that the lag that occurs every time any sort of physics comes into play is extremely frustrating and distracting.
There needs to be some way to, like, lower the backup menu or something, because on the level shop til' you drop it blocks the lower portion of the map. Normally, the only way I've ever been able to deal with splitters on elite or nightmare is to block off the exit, because they don't have terribly strong hits and that way I can AOE them down, and I'm unable to do so on the shop til you drop level due to the UI making it impossible to cover up the lower portion of the exit. It is the only map in the game in which it is impossible to block off the exit. There are more convoluted ways of trying to do the same thing, but things are already hard enough as is without having to try to work around something dumb like that.
Gah, it's over so quickly. I'm sad. It would be nice if it was a little longer, and either there were more upgrades or the upgrades that were there took longer to get. This only took me, like, 15 mins or so to finish entirely. That's awfully short.
Alright, this game is really pretty buggy overall I'm sorry to say. I like what's here, but so far A) you can't upgrade artillery turrets; the menu doesn't come up B) I've seen more than one turret that's name doesn't show up; its name comes up as "Turret_name_[#]) C) I'm not sure if this is intended or not, but I'm guessing it's not: You cannot sell things back in the shop; where as in most of these games you just drag items back up to the shop to sell them back, here when you drag an item up to the shop nothing happens. Well, nothing significant. The item becomes bound to your cursor so that rather than dragging you have to click to put it back in your inventory. I'm really hoping that some of these bugs get worked out, because I like this game. Unfortunately when there are that many bugs that I've already found by only a few levels in, that usually means there are going to be more.
The light artillery tower's upgrade doesn't work. You click on it and the game pauses like as if the menu was popping up, yet it doesn't. Nothing happens. It's kinda not cool not having access to 1/4 of our turrets...
Ah, just an achievement for all gold? I'm always a fan for something small extra for stuff like that, but hey, w/e. That aside, I will say that the only thing I had trouble with was control in relation to wall sliding. I found it too easy to grab onto walls I didn't want to, and when my guy was at a corner, rather than just making it up onto the edge or grabbing on immediately, he'd have to fall down a bit, grab onto the wall beneath the ledge, then jump up. This resulted in my death more times than I can count. The jumping/running mechanics felt right, that I liked, it's just that as I said; the controls in relation to wall stuff needs to be tightened up a bit I suppose.
Ok, that was weird. After refreshing my browser and continuing not once, but twice, my radar finally showed up. So I guess disregard my prior comment. Yeah, the radar didn't show up at first, but just so long as one can get it to work somehow it isn't anything to worry about I suppose.
Ok, uh...is anyone else's radar working? Because the first time I played through (the day before yesterday) my radar worked just dandy. Now today after the update I started a new game, and although I have a radar equipped, the radar simply will not show up in the game screen. Not having a memory leak is awesome and everything, but not having a radar definitely is not very awesome.
Yeah, I'm not sure what the whining about level 5 is about. I had already destroyed their castle before they could so much as create an offensive unit...
Are...are those pot leafs under the requirements for units? I mean, I'm as big a fan of sweet Mary Jane as anyone, but don't you think it would be a better idea to wait until after combat to get stoned? I guess if our opponents were attacking us while we sat on the couch and they were made out of pizza or something then that might work out alright, but otherwise I'm not so sure...
I'm confused. Why is it called stick tennis when the individuals in question clearly are not sticks? Way to use a misleading title. I'm pretty disappointed. Stick figures make my life feel complete, but skinny people are not the same as stick figures. They just aren't. If they were I could just look up pictures of people in poverty stricken regions of africa and completely skip the whole playing games thing.
This was good, but imo a few things could have been different. First off, I agree with others that there needs to be more variety in combat with more magic-y things and w/e, esp. seeing as even alternating between melee/range here is a pain in the butt. I def. could have also used slightly more explanation as far as certain stats/abilities. For ex, luck says that it increases "item drops"...what items? Just the kind that drop from enemies? The kind you find when cutting bushes? But the two that really confused me were the two "critical" abilities for the bow and otherwise...the 'berserker hit' one next to axe mastery says "sometimes you make critical hits"...it doesn't address whether that's for just axes or for every weapon, and either way, no matter what weapon I used, I never saw a critical hit, even with level 9 critical hit. The exact same applies to the bow. I never saw a critical, regardless of the critical skill. What exactly are they supposed to do? Are they bugged?
I'm not sure how others feel, but imo splitters are absurdly unbalanced. Like, mad unbalanced. Hell, even at their tiniest split they take out freaking 5 lives *each*. Seeing as that's when they're at their fastest and each splitter creates up to 8 little ones, a single splitter can take out all of your lives. Out of all the times I've lost (probably ~15 times total), if I'm recalling correctly only 2 or 3 of those weren't a direct result of splitters. They're just ridiculously frustrating and pretty much the only way I've found to even get close to dealing with them is to put an AOE type turret next to the exit, block off the exit, then just finish them off as they try to break through, which you can't even do on every level. I find that anymore I'm specifically engineering my levels to try to deal with just splitters. Everything else pales in comparison, especially due to that whole ability to take out the better portion of your lives if a single splitter/set gets through.
Hm, idk what's happening, but while a few days I simply lagged like hell when trying to play this game, now I can't even start it. I can get to the level select screen just fine, but as soon as I hit on a level to start it the screen goes blank and I get one of those messages about a script on the page causing flash player to run slowly and asking if I want to abort the script. I'm running pretty generic things here, I'm using vista SP2, firefox, the most recent version of flash player (actually, I just updated a few mins ago. It was happening both before and after I updated though), I do have adblock, but I'm not sure why that would cause an issue...I've also determined that it's just this game, because I just tried starting up a number of others and they work perfectly fine. Idk what you did with this game to make it run so poorly between the incredible lag and now the crashing, but whatever it is I wouldn't recommend doing it in the future.
Idk what's happening, but 2 times now on 2 different levels I've been playing, a splitter made it into the end zone thinger, and the game just froze. I could still pause and click on my guys, but no animations were happening and the next wave would not come up. I had to restart both times. Seeing as these levels get kind of long, that's really very frustrating.
There was a bug with radar.I fixed it and upload new version:)
