So, is level 16 pure luck or how do people do this? The removeme block just jumps virtually every time on top of the letters and is impossible to push down. Is this dependent on the PC or what?
There is one good thing about badges for idle games. You can just start the game click some things, buy some upgrades, and then come back in one or two days to it and more or less collect the badges with not all that much effort involved. And with that said and done I'm never gonna play this here again.
The game keeps registering everything from one to four clicks at the same time when I'm clicking only once. This makes trying to reach the par even more annyoing.
The whole game is running smoothly up until the three conclusion trial levels. There the game lags if you don't stop every now and then (which is a great thing for the only actual time trial of the game), bugs out while shifting so that spikes kill you that are not even in your vicinity, and completely freezes every now and then while shifting, requiring to restart the whole browser. Why can't the end of the actual game run as smooth as the player packs?
Shift 4 has 4 badges, Shift 3 has 3 badges and Shift 1 has 1 badge. How cool would it have been if Shift 2 would have had 2 badges? I think that was a missed opportunity.
Now, while I did manage to get the badge, after a lot of rage-inducing moments, I seriously have to ask why it is only a medium badge. The only good point being that every screen works as a save point, but the instant-death for a hit especially in the boss battle is just too unforgiving to make this enjoyable. And the control is too jerky and movement overall too fast to make this anything else than dependent on random luck. Just as a overall tip: Finish the boss as fast as possible, try to jump again after a hit in his face, the platform exists long enough so that a second hit is possiblejust before it disappears.
I would really like some cussing options in that chat bubble thingy. Especially "bullshit" is a word I want to say a lot. Also, this game is way to addicting and I don't understand why.
And if somebody else wonders where in hell you're supposed to get 50 coins in that last level: If you explode the bags they apparently drop coins, which obviously you don't want to do when you still have the collect 5 bags mission open. Which means you're forced to do the boss battle two times, if I haven't overlooked 4 coins during my first try. And in the case somebody else is like me a little slow in the uptake: The boss can only be hurt by shooting him in the back.
The one thing that really gets on my nerves with this game is that in the later levels there is no way to get shotgun ammo besides random drops. For the normal levels that is enough, barely, but for the bossfight I simply don't have enough ammo. I guess that the dev assumes that I will have bought the machine gun along with all the ammo I could get for it, and maybe I could have stocked up on grenades instead of using them the whole time. But a better solution would be unlimited ammo stock in the shop terminals, so that I can actually spend all the coins I'm collecting in a meaningfull way and can also get the choice which weapon I use. Everything else I like well enough, but this one thing really bugs me.
I love the artwork, the monster design and general mood. It is a little repetitive though and gets old fast after the third time I jump against a wall shortly before the goal.
I really tried, as I do every time an idle game gets badges, but I still don't get the appeal at all. There's nothing to do, there is simply no interest for me in playing this. And compared to some other idle games, I think this one is even slower paced, rather than discouraging grinding weak enemies and providing some kind of interest with at least a continous stream of upgrade choicables or something, it takes a considerable time to get experience and the point were the next battle gets too hard to do while the current battle doesn't give you any significant exp anymore is reached too fast.
I really like the concept, the graphics and the music. But I hate the way the jumping is implemented, and I hate that one level where I needed 20 or so tries to clear the first platform jumping with those descending platforms and then after that another difficult part just like it appears and I have to restart completely when failing that. And after repeating that dozens of times I slowly start to lose my motivation and stop enjoying the game too.
It would have certainly been nice to now that quitting the survival doesn't count your points but that you have to die for that. That's another half hour of my life wasted then, I guess.
Did I miss some part of the game? I have all the 27 stars but the high scores tell me lots of people have 33. Is this some hidden secret or are these some kind of cheaters?
I didn't realize how much easier the other Fancy Pants games were made for me because they run so slow on my ages old computer. This one runs considerably faster and got so much harder because of that.
