@KingGeorgeI: T-Rex, because some scientists apparently have shown that the evolutionary line of birds can be traced back to the tyrannosaurus rex, crossing roads because of the class of "Why did the chicken cross the road" jokes, Humpty-Dumpty probably because he is an egg, or his head is. No idea why Richard Straus though. I thought maybe this has something to do with the chicken opera, but google says at a first glance he got nothing to do with it. Maybe the bird ostrich which in German is "Strauß"?
Look at all the people who complain because a game is not tailored to be easy. The controls are not bad, but complex, that is a difference that is important. But you can actually control Fancy Pants very well, if you learn how to. Bad controls mean you can't really control the character as you want to. This is a good game, one of the classics, and you actually need to put in some practice to get good at it. That's what some people are not used to, I guess.
I have honestly no idea how I got the medium badge exactly. It doesn't seem tu actually update when I deal damage with a hit, because I got if after equipping an item with the "crushing" attribute which was said to increase damage by 100-300, and on leaving the town with no fight or anything I suddenly got the badge. I'm not complaining since this took long enough and was already boring me. A lot. But it's still weird.
Some people reported problems there, but for me, the game is saving progress so far. As it is meant to do, after completing each chapter, a new chapter opens in the select screen, and they stay there after turning my PC off and on again so that I can continue from the next chapter. And I really love the game so far, if I wouldn't have to sleep I wouldn't really want to stop playing it now anyway.
Tedious and long upgrade game? Severe lag that makes it even more tedious the more upgrades you get, if not at all unplayable? And no save function at all which means you need to stomach this in one session? Only an easy badge? 1/5 stars, say goodbye to that BotD, will not return.
Since the question came up: When you mess up placing the wings on the plate, you can actually readjust them, but this will leave behind sauce which will negatively affect your score. With the napkins you can clean this sauce of the plate by dragging one over the respective smudges. Since one usually shouldn't make any mistakes there, especially after purchasing the better plate upgrade, it's not really all that usefull.
This game was surprisingly bad. Story, boring and bland. CPU requirements way too high for such simple graphics and setup. Control scheme, bad, because both mouse and keyboard seldom mix well. Boring and lame animations I am forced to watch, stereotypical characters everywhere. Save scheme, very bad. Why do I have to search a computer and then double clikc of all things to save? Which takes ten tries every time because of the lag. And then at the end I suddenly get minigames without retries which are unwinnable, because of guess what? The astronomical unnecessary lag. I expected way better and I only played it for the badges, and am sorry I did.
The hard badge was surprisingly easy, after I got back to this game after year or so. Maybe this time, my slow PC worked out well for me? It was really easy to get all these edge, danger and accuracy bonuses, and it was also way more easy than I remember to actually eat all the cakes and not let any pass. Anyway, I have liked this game and like it still. It's an original and cute idea, artwork is perfect and fits the game very well, the music fits too and doesn't get on ones nerves after a while, all in all a good game.
The game isn't that bad actually, the graphics are nice, the character design is original and funny and the mechanics are good enough. It's even a little bit too easy after getting used to it, the High Roller badge only takes one try after having played some of the story chapters, and the easy and medium badge were both very easy. One problem is how ambigious the game is. It's really not obvious how to exit a game cleanly, that you have to wait until a fight starts so that you can exit doesn't help. Also, it gets boring after a while. There is not that much strategy involved and increasing the difficulty only makes the fights take longer. And the biggest problem is the fourth badge. I have completed every story chapter and not one of the checkboxes got activated, I suspected I need to submit my score or something, which is only possible after the final chapter, but that didn't do anything either.
I think it should have been made more obvious that you need to 1. complete the tutorial in story mode, 2. pause the game afterwards with spacebar and then exit and 3. can then finally choose training mode after clicking on 1-player. Not everyone reads the instruction box first thing.
It's not exactly true that splitting is senseless and that you have to wait for an enemy to split if you want to win. With splitting and Ally Explode, you can damage the enemies to make them smaller, or kill them outright, so that's one piece of tactic that works.
The relaxing challenge levels were by far the easiest here, apart from some of the practice levels of the regular ones. The were so easy that they were boring in fact. The Nosmiley levels were far more entertaining. Which I recommend for getting those last 14 or so levels needed for the hard badge. If they prove too difficult, the earlier medium challenge levels should do the trick.
Your games always manage to bring that single tear to my one eye. Wonderfully told story again, in which the characters slowly but surely grew on me. Simple but effective.
Yeah, so while under firefox this game doesn't even take keyboard commands for me, I tried it later under chrome, which worked. But the lag while still on the title screen which made it almost impossible to even start the game, didn't get better. I did manage under huge difficulties to aquire the easy badge, which is all I wanted, but seriously, a game like this shouldn't lag this hard, no matter how old the pc. But I guess this is what happens if you use a game programming software that was intended for people who don't understand how programming works. Laggy games.
Some people here said that this is what media does, but to be more precise, this is what the so called "alternative" media outlets do, from what I observed. And some people on social media sides. Media produced by people who have actually learned how to be responsible journalists doesn't work that way.
Glad you're enjoying it! The saving problem is a case-by-case issue. If these issues ever do crop up, please contact me - I have some easy solutions.
