I'm not crazy about games like Crush the Castle, and so I was skeptical over this game. But this was much better. Unlike Crush the Castle, Sieger relies more on perfect placement that perfect timing, so a small glitch or a little lag won't ruin the game and make it frustratingly tedious and impossible. Nice game, gmentat.
Wouldn't it be nice if, when one (or ten) of your geese hits an aircraft in the windshield, that the plane goes down? I mean, it's not as if glass holds up very well against hitting a 15+ lbs bird at high speeds. And besides, a little retribution would be kinda fun. You're thinking "That's horrible, you want to crash planes?", but deep down, you're thinking "F&#$ you, Southwest! You mess with the man (... uh... bird..?), you pay the price!"
I love this game. I played and completed it twice before the badges came, but no save file (sad face). The only thing I wish this game had were more upgrades. I got all of the achievements except Sky Captain (survive for 3 minutes) really early on, I had all of the upgrades, and it still took me about 15 more tries to get the final achievement, so I ended up with over 1k extra points, rofl. Two, ragnus78 is right: the strays don't hit the planes until they start following you; they're better off on their own. Also, these birds are really fearless. They're flying through areas filled with stealth bombers and U.F.O.s (Area 51 and District 9, or they're in the cast for the movie "Independence Day"). In addition to being war-zones, these areas appear to be popular vacation spots, because their are a whole crap-load of 747s and charter planes.
If at first you don't succeed, try, and try again. If that doesn't work, shoot off crates randomly until you win. Anyways, It's an interesting game, however ridiculous it may seem. 4/5, because it is somewhat repetetive (and ridiculous).
If you're stuck on Waizer, you may have to start over, because you can't change your stats. Mutants have the easiest time taking on Waizer, because they can get the Fury and they can add major buffs to their strength and agility. If you're a mutant, add lots of points to Bodybuild, Stamina, and Willpower, to increase your hitpoints, damage, and stun resistance. Also, for any race that has liquify, use it. The game ends after you beat Waizer, so you don't have to worry about looting, and taking out his armour will double your attack damage.
You're the Chosen One, the most amazing and epic fighter in the world, wielding skills lesser beings can scarcely imagine in their wildest dreams, and most importantly, you can survive violent, bloodthirsty combat without ever putting on a pair of pants.
Really good game, if you're into these types of games. Through certain sections of the game it seemed slightly repetetive, and early on, the game is a little boring. Everything gets better the further you advance in the game. This game also maks you realize that all you need to protect your legs are some tighty-whiteys and a pair of boots.
ROFL!! On the finale mission, the first clue i uncovered was "The murderer is left-handed", and what do you know, only two of the suspects are left-handed. Solved it in about 5 time, heh heh.
Hey, I've turned off my ad-block and other internet security, but I still can't play the game, and i'm sure this game hasn't been updating for a week now, so does anyone have suggestions for what I should do?
5/5. I had understood that she was a symbol for bad (very bad) choices, such as cutting or drugs, but I hadn't noticed the Leigh (Lie) until I read the comments. The game is so deep my head started to hurt (in a good way). If you want a hint to getting all three endings, but not an actual spoiler, think of it like this: The different game endings are different ways to deal with the problem. How a person deals with a problem depends on their personality (usually in more subtle ways than people realise). If you want a different ending, act out a different personality.
@ thecheaterdude: Wait a second... you are playing a game in which the main character is attempting to destroy Earth from one of your many bases that can be on the moon, underwater, or in a volcano, and you fight off your attackers with lasers and railguns, and you're complaining that the game isn't REALISTIC?! If you were looking for a realistic game, i'm thinking that you didn't really think your choice through very well. Anyways, loved the game (which is in no way made worse by realism issues) and i wish i could give it more than 5 stars.
Not a bad game, but far worse then Ge.ne.sis. I was hoping that this would follow the turn-based tactical layout, but it ended up being a side-scroll shooter. 3/5.
@ shidler, the soldiers don't think he's a zombie, they just don't know if he has the disease that is cuasing the zombification. Diseases take time to, ya know, work and all. If they let him out of the city, and he is a carrier for the disease, he could infect, oh say, the world? That's why they're going after this one guy.
For everyone saying that they have trouble getting the achievements: Like with all Kongregate badges, they're probably glitchy. Just keep playing the game, and you should eventually be awarded the badges. It might help to refresh the page, too.
The menu is a little funky. You have to tap x and c at the same time. The controls are sticky, but you can get used to it after a little running around. The lighting is pretty bad, as its hard to see enemies, but again, you can get used to it. Personally, I thought there were only minor problems, and besides, he warned us that it was a beta game. 3/5. Not bad, but not particularly great either.
Beating Loki isn't really too hard. As long as you don't let the huge spray of fire psych you out, you'll notice that all you have to do to dodge almost all of the bullets is drift lazily to one side. Whenever you get overdrive (and you had better be using Odin as your ship) move in really close to Loki so that you do more damage more quickly.
A couple people have complained about the movements system, and I have to admit, it confused me for a little while, too. But then I beat the first level, and realized that the movement config might just be a good choice. 5/5, this game is great.
