Spending gold for improvements means other people in the guild must complete the improvement?!?! Rating dropped 2 stars for pushing you to spend tokens. Also, if you are the only member of the guild (or not in a guild), it should disallow spending gold for upgrades.
One of the most pointless games I've seen on Kongregate. Also, what little mechanics there are leave a lot to be desired. The "double" jump is nothing of the sort (tiny extra jump) and the detection of jump from ground vs double jump is appallingly bad.
There needs to be a way to summon all of the remaining waves. Particularly on endurance, it's easy to reach a point where you could defeat all of the remaining waves but you have to click on the wave bar (which is a hassle when you need to "call" almost 1000 waves).
I don't mind some extras for premium (like the locked skills) but making challenge amulets generally impossible without premium is just lame. 5/5 for general gameplay - lowered to 3/5 for the way premium is handled.
1 star - this has got to be the worst game I"ve played on Kongregate. If you don't already have decent weapons (and to a lesser extent other stuff), you are nothing but cannon fodder to die over and over.
It's a fun game but *way* too reliant on dragon gold. Doing anything with the Upgrade stuff requires it. It wouldn't be so bad if there were methods to obtain dragon gold (or at least dragon stone) in-game in a reasonable fashion.
Fun game except the massive bug when missiles going at good speed can pass directly through enemies (so far, it's always been yellow if that makes a difference).
The game was fun up until the final fight. Waizer is either given stats *WAY* beyond what is possible or flat out cheats. I hit more often but all my gear breaks first. I have combat stats maxed and disciplines 3-5 but he crits about 5x more often. His armor is *INSANE* I was one-turn killing pretty much everyone else but can't damage Waizer unless I use a 2-handed sword and then I only do 5-20 points (and using Focus barely increases that)?!?! Game went from 5/5 down to 2/5 because of this stupidity.
I was going to give this game 4 stars but the final boss is enough to lower my rating to 2 stars. When I have fully maxed sonic shot in 3 slots (takes out most things pretty quickly) and fight the final guy for over 10 minutes and only get him down about half health, there is something massively wrong with the hp of the boss.
I enjoy this game but while trying to get the Hard badge, I've come to *HATE* a few aspects. The random entry of thieves on the multi-entrance maps can easily make Brilliant impossible. Add on top of that the Assassins 50% miss chance on *everything* (including Meteor - not just the "missiles" that the ability says), and Brilliant is nearly impossible on map 14.
I've enjoyed the previous Bloons games but this one keeps throwing Kreds in your face (which is highly annoying) and has some missing features (clicky fast-forward).
