Spacebar for "Next Level"!! Don't make me reach for the mouse in a keyboard only game, just to do the obvious thing. How many of you guys have to make this mistake?
Double is the action, you shouldn't also have to say hit after it. If I bust, the dealer shouldn't take any cards (unless there are other players on the table). I should be able to double with an 8 against a 6 showing. If the dealer has an ace showing and I split or double, if the dealer has blackjack, you should only take a single bet, not the full amount. Or, as is done today, the dealer reveals his blackjack immediately once all players have take or declined insurance.
As for where to go next, I don't really think that the world needs another 1st person shooter, and the Unity environment is just not good enough. I would suggest a 1st person escape game. Look at the really good escape games, Speed Escape isn't bad and that style would translate to 1st person reasonably well. Escape from Crystal Lake is also good, but darker. Afroninja has several that are good -- look through his.
Nice start. The screen was too big, I had to sub-size my browser, and I have a reasonably big screen. The trees and rock were floating -- I could walk under them. The movement was very good, I liked the UI for it, and several of these Unity games have been struggling with this issue. The only thing I would suggest is to make the mouse a little less sensitive -- the entire width of the screen should be only 360, not 720, then cheat the mouse back towards centered so the user can go further. I seemed awfully tall -- I towered over the workmen. I would have liked a way out of the pool, because I hadn't gone outside, yet. I restarted to go outside, and I liked that I could jump off the world and see it disappearing from me. Served me right! :D
Wow. I'm an idiot. I went all through the game without realizing that there were any weapon upgrades at all. I beat the whole thing on regular with just the beginning gun. Whew! Loved it, though.
Yet another keyboard only game, but I have to reach for the mouse to hit 'next.' Don't you guys even play your own games? Are you THAT tolerant of annoying UI?
Fun, but a few of the clues were too 'out there'. I like the fireplace clue, but why would the dials be clued by what they are (which I won't spoiler here)? I had to read the walkthrough to get that one, and my response was "huh?" It amazes me that anyone gets that sort of clue.
Ho hum. Like I said in the other one you just posted, it's time for some new tricks. You are using all the same tricks over and over again. Still, I needed the walkthrough for this one, because I never happened to click on the spot to go pick up the saw. Other than that, easy same-old, same-old.
