On my pretty high-end gaming computer it gets pretty sluggish. The most annoying thing is that it will ignore a click, until you start to get into the habit of clicking twice -- until that burns you. Optimize better.
Terrible choice #2: I need both hands on the keyboard to play. Then, when a conversation or info box comes up, I have to reach for the mouse to make it go away. Space bar is fine for this. I don't even mind if it also jumps when I'm just trying to make the info box go away.
Controls are still horrible. The arrow keys to turn left and right have momentum?!? (That is, even after you let go, you keep turning for a while, always going past the point you wanted to aim.) This was a terrible decision. (It turns out that rotational inertia is not actually a problem when turning my own body.)
Oh, one more thing. I wanted more to research. I got up to 12 scientists and had 3 labs ready just as I realized I was done with research. I only played on normal, and it got too easy once I had about half the city. The rest was a bit of an exercise in endurance. Defense needs should increase with the perimeter of your walled area (giving you a reason to clean up and not just make thin paths to the blocks you want). And the zombies should continue to mutate so that you need the research going well to keep up.
Great game! I had several comments but it turned out they were there all along. (I wanted a way to see quickly all the squares in view that were unscouted/had food/had survivors. Then I realized that hovering over the obvious element showed just that.) I'm struggling to find suggestions, since it was so great, but here goes. -- I'd rather it just assume that anyone who is unassigned is on city defense, and I just have to hover over a police station to see the stats. I got into the habit of hitting 'unassign all' to prepare for the night and a few times I forgot to go back and assign all. I even had a zombie attack in one of those, that I still repelled. I scheduled the win conditions (constitution and close portal) so they would happen on the same night, hoping something special would happen, but it didn't. That would be a nice achievement to add. Very well done.
twice, now, it has gotten stuck pointing up into the ceiling, and I can't get it to move (even though plenty of fuel). I could turn a full 360 to the side, but up and down were not effective, and firing rockets did not move me. It could be an interesting game, but too glitchy right now.
I'm stuck on "Maybe you could get inside the tree." I have a piece (which I got repairing the electrical tower) that becomes a pass-through anywhere else I put it (including on a floor), but just becomes leaves when I put it on the tree.
There needs to be a reset button. I got stuck in the very first level, because I used the broom on the cop. Then I have no way to move forward and no reset.
A dumb but funny concept. Of course, not really any dumber than "get the marble to the hole" or whatever else you might have come up with. BTW, the Menu button that you see after completing the game doesn't work.
Yeah, having to hit escape after you've finished a race is terrible. And what do I have to do to unlock the other tracks? I beat all the first 5 races.
ditto what glommie said. I hate the "find the right pixel" games. Everything here made sense. There was a little hunting around, a little figuring out. Nice! (Only issue: The one thing you have to put together should have been more flexible in what order you attach the pieces. Any reasonable order should have worked.)
