We've launched a great Kongregate app in the Android Market with over 300 free games, mobile-only badges, high scores, ratings, comments, offline play. It uses your Kongregate web account and you get 50 points when you install the app. Check it out!

A new version of Kongregate was released last night, with changes to give a better user experience for our mobile users and new browser support. Other fixes are highlighted in the release thread in our forums.
In past years we've had contests to design a Halloween-themed Kongregate header. This year we're going to do something a bit different. We're planning on having a special Halloween challenge, and we want YOU (yes, YOU) to design the image that will show up on the profile of everyone who completes it! Your design will permanently be on oodles and oodles of profiles, which I think is pretty darn cool. If that wasn't good enough, we're even throwing in some prizes! The winner will receive a Kongregate tshirt and 500 Kreds and three runners up will all receive some Kongregate stickers and 150 Kreds each!
The image should be 130px x 90px and we prefer PNG format with transparency (if applicable). As an idea of what we're looking for, here's the award our designers made for the special Valentine's Day challenge
You'll have until 12:00 am PDT on Wednesday, October 27 to get your entries in. To enter please do the following: upload your image to the collabs section and then post a link to your entry in this thread. Please keep discussion of individual entries on the Collabs page. That will help keep this thread organized and easy to look through.
After playing through over 100 games submitted to our Mobile Flash Game Contest, and making some very tough decisions to try to pick out the winners among a crowd of strong contenders, we are pleased to announce the results!

Every year, The Escapist scours the internet to find the perfect blend of fun and compelling community games and events. This year, they are bringing participants all of the favorite games and events from last year, including 10 Flash games from Kongregate as they once again host the Flash Game Playoffs. Play the games, participate in their events, and compete for the illustrious gold, silver and bronze badges on The Escapist. All of the events start today but make sure to check out their Timeline of Events to see how long some of the events are open. A relatively minor update, though sure to get some reactions from a few aesthetic changes, such as the removal of the Beta tag (we're gold, baby!). Check out the full discussion here in our forums.
We pushed out a new version of Kongregate last night. Given the large update last week, this one is fairly small, but does include a few useful tweaks. In-chat links open in new tabs, user's game comments are now sorted newest to oldest, and the unread messages link now contextually links based on what type of messages are unread. You can read all about it in our forum thread about the release.
