Words of advice; if the enemy uses mostly ranged units, let them get close. THEN deploy close-combat types. Also, few are the armies which survive a platoon of mounted units.
One annoying thing is the colors. If your ship matches colors with the bullets of that level or your own bullets (depending on which ones you're using) it's hard to see where your ship is, and, thus, it's hard to dodge said bullets. The only solution is to re-color your ship every level to be FAR from both colors.
At first, it looks like a Frantic clone, and in a lot of ways, it is similar, but there's one major difference I've found, though I'm not sure it was intended. At the start of the game, you have 5 separate kinds of weapons to pick from. You start off with a low level of each, but you can sell them and just upgrade one kind of weapon! That means, you can basically pick 5 COMPLETELY different weapons! They all function differently and require a different playing style. If you're feeling bored with the game, go try the lasers or the dumb missles. They're sure to liven up the game!
GAH!!!! Level 40 is not suited for the imperfect human! Make a SINGLE mistake, and you have to start over. I know what to do, but I keep making some mistake or another. It's a long process. If you forget one step or push ONE wrong button, you must start over! It's like the freaking Frantic 1 Impossible badge! If you didn't get that, don't try level 40.
Ahh....I'm stupid. This game doesn't care how big or difficult a word is. It doesn't care how common a letter is. It only cares if you use the letters it gives you, which are from the boiler. So, you can make a go to list and pick letters from the boiler which match up to it. The game is more deep than I thought.
The only way to do well in this is to either memorize the dictionary and be able to recall it at a moment's notice, or make a "go to" list of long words with X, K, F, J, Z, and Q in them. Like, make a physical list on a piece of paper. Also, there's no feeling worse than misspelling a long word, then having to panic and quickly write "too" or something.
Levels 13 and 20 are unforgiving and RIDICULOUSLY strict. There's no way a normal person would get either of those on par. It would take either a programmer who decompiled the game, figured out its exact programming, and used every trick they could find to get par, or someone who watched the videos. Either way you need PERFECT timing. Down to the frame. That is NOT fun!
Interesting idea, but it's a little over-complicated. There's guns, ammo, and essences. You're probably either going to spend all your money on guns/ammo or essences and essence upgrades. As for the essences themselves, they're way too powerful. You can upgrade the dragons defense fairly early and turn it into a battering ram. You'll take a little damage, but you can just recover it all with the life essence. Simply put, it's too easy, and has many weak points to exploit. Still, not a bad first game. Just needs some tweaking is all. Maybe take out the guns and add some essences, or at least remove the ammo and make the guns a little weaker. Or something.
This is what you call a "Skeletal game." This is a very VERY basic zombie game. You got your zombies of increasing strengths, your different guns, your pick-up grenades, but where's the originality? There's nothing setting this apart from others. It doesn't even have that many guns or types of zombies. I count 6 guns (one of which - the grenade launcher - is a lazy cop-out and not worth the purchase) and only 3 zombies. Don't get me wrong; it's an okay game, but it's just too simple. You need to elaborate, you know? Expand on this idea a bit more. There's potential here! It just needs a little extra something.
I love this game. It always puts me in a good mood to play, even after dealing with someone I really hate. The upbeat music, combined with having to be very quick and skilled to succeed, makes this a very fun game. :D
I like how the achievements include "don't get hit" for each level, but the badges totally ignore that. Poor game tries so hard to be Frantic, but it's not.
