When people starve, you need to change the default settings so that farmers/gatherers are the last to die. I just went from 7 population to 1 population in one second because I had too many miners.
Making people research numbers seems like a mistake. Also the new food production results in population growth followed by instantaneous population decline. It's not working correctly.
Also the functionality for collecting mushrooms and treasure chests is very clunky. Mushrooms should be consumables that go to our inventory and treasure chests should instantly open without having to be clicked.
Also at some point my crystals randomly went from 0 to being completely full. I spun the wheel and got the +50 crystals thing, so I'm guessing it was a bug then. But I didn't notice exactly when it happened. It was definitely while I was playing though, not an offline thing.
The cannons/airship concept is all screwed up. I'd suggest changing it something more abstract, like a thing where you click once and your airship slowly bombards the bad guy's castle with a tiered progress bar and your upgrades speed it up. That's basically how it works now, except players have to repair the ship over and over and they don't really understand that they can leave the screen while the fight goes on.
There is a strange glitch with the ad thing in the crystal factory. I clicked it and there was a pop-up that says loading ad, but the ad never showed up. Eventually I refreshed the game because it didn't seem to be going away. Even though I refreshed in 10 seconds, about 3 minutes of time ticked off my building progress. I tried this again and same thing happened. But time seems to run normally with just a regular refresh.
I think you released this too soon. It's a good start, but the whole game is done after 10 mins. It's too little to make players want to come back and check on progress.
Oh it's just a prototype in order to see if it is worth spending time on this project. I will remove it soon and I will come back later with a more complete project.
This game is VERY sloppy. So many things about it that detract from the playing experience. Its frustrating because you got a lot right, but the basic nuts and bolts are amateurish.
Like the other commenters, I think this is a great start that is frustratingly close to being really good. Losing your light is crazy. Fix that in first update. Also absolutely 100% needs a map which shows the bases we've previously found, plus treasure maps and quests where we have to catch a certain number of a specific type of fish. Also this game desperately needs an inventory where we can see how much fish we have and what they are worth. One other suggestion is for the predators to stay out of the bases. Very frustrating to be in a base repairing and get attacked or to have an Orca block the base exit.
Basic strategy on every level is to just expand really really fast. If you aren't hyper aggressive then you lose. I agree with other comments that it is annoying when arrows reset. Would be best if they stayed forever and if there was a toggle where we can set the minimum level for how small we go.
I'll add the option of turning those particles off on the next update. Thanks
