Why would anyone ever want their miners set to off? The UI on this one is very poor. The fluctuations in BTC price are not intuitive the way you have it - add a line graph so people can see the movement. As other people already said, it's a bad idea to release games too early.
Nice little game. It is a little easy and short. I think you could add more complications and make it more interesting. For instance "enemy" blocks that move on a schedule. Anyway, fun game thanks.
I'm stuck and getting frustrated. I can't remove the pillars at the smith's house, can't figure out what to season the guard's soup with and can't find a hat to go outside with. I've collected/interacted with all the sparkly stuff when I click C and spoken with everyone. Not sure how to advance from here...
You can start with the pillars - you'll need something dry from the farms and something to start a fire with, like a certain stone from the barracks (reachable using a broomstick from the bookmaker's shop). Does that help?
To put it another way: if the research gives you +10k GPS and takes 5 mins to unlock, Academic gives you 10k x 2.5 minutes = 1.5m free gold which you wouldn't have had otherwise. It pays for itself very fast.
@slothrop, Academic is worth unlocking right away. If an upgrade would have taken 5 minutes to add +10% production, now you get 2.5 minutes of faster production that you wouldn't have had otherwise. Also it lets you start the next upgrade 2.5 minutes faster than you would have otherwise. It's a critical skill for completing challenges.
The progression on this is way too slow. I've reset twice and it's still a long drag just to unlock the second farm item. Usually the way it works is you let players unlock a handful of things quickly, then you slow down a lot from there. That way at least people feel like they're doing something.
Minor complaint: when I attack, if I roll an unblockable number, you skip the monster's dice roll. That's a nice efficient feature. Why doesn't the same thing happen if I roll something where its impossible for me to hit? If their defense is +5 and my attack is +1, I definitely won't hit if I roll a 2.
I think this is a great start to a game. Really, really enjoyable. One thing that would help is for more permanent benefits between runs. Something like achievements with rewards attached (kill 30 ghouls gives +1 shield vs ghouls) or persistent equipment (jewelry that gives small boosts and not dropped). As it is, each run feels a bit too much like starting over and I think you lose some replay fun.
The fanatics are definitely the way to go. They do NOT kill eachother, so you can have 3 or 6 working together. Over time their production gets quite large. Unfortunately the game seriously lacks in terms of long term features. Also there should be a single button to buy guys, rather than double click, and ideally there should be options to buy 5x, 10x, etc with one click.
Hi! Yes the game is still short as this was a prototype but it seems it feels right, and yes long term play hasn't been though yet, I will come up with something too. I will add more content as soon as I can. I need to incorporate Kongregates leaderboards too, this will be a new challenge for me. Thanks a lot for playing! --------> arigold16, several improvements were made to the game, now it's at V1.0.0.81 and your comment together with additional comments given by players derived in new features including the start of long term play. Take a Look! =)
SORRY, I lied, actually what happened was my level was reset to 1, but everything else is still there. Still very confusing, but perhaps this is on purpose.
Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but the game slowed WAY down around level 20. I'm barely getting credit cards and not really sure how I would speed it up from here.
Hey it's kinda the point of the game, to ridicule the way lootboxes are implemented in most of the games, were you spend most of the time watching the opening animation just to get those few duplicates instead of actually playing the game ;) But if the need for the option is high, I may consider adding it to the game!
You're going to get a lower rating since it's only a demo. People here down vote for that even if the game is good. But I think you know perfectly well that this is a very good game. You obviously took a lot of notes from Kingdom Rush and tweaked it just enough to have your own game. That's fine, we'll enjoy playing it when released. I just am assuming there will be some kind of P2W feature here given the weird demo release.
Thank you for the comment! We released just few levels exactly to see, will the people like them or not. In good case scenario we will know that creating and adding more levels wouldn't be wasting of time.
Fun little game. The UI could really use some work so we can see more on the same page. Really shouldn't have to scroll right and left and if you have to keep that we should at least be able to use a scroll bar.
Thanks a lot :)
