I like the idea but I'm about to go cross-eyed trying to play this game when you add in the different clothing styles and colors. It was really, really hard on my eyes. I had to stop playing after that level.
I'm not a fan of this sort of "constantly battle against gravity and don't touch the walls!" game. This one is a little more interesting than most. I would really appreciate WASD controls though.
Oh well, I played it. It would be a great game but difficultly ramps way to high and you start each level with nothing but a pistol. Eventually it's just a matter of luck whether or not you get a good weapon and then see good power-ups during the level. If you don't, there's no way to win. Too bad.
Hahaha, finally I was able to get the minigun early in the level, and then it wouldn't reload!! Awesome. Did you just not make a 9th level and this is how you keep people from getting past level 8?
Looks like I manage to get a new weapon spawn about 1 game in every 5 at this point. If the gun doesn't spawn in the first 10-15 seconds of level 8, you might as well just kill yourself because you can't survive. And even if it does spawn at 15 seconds, chances are it either spawns under a generator, so you'll die trying to get it, or you are just hopelessly cut off from it.
Ha, I died when I picked up a skull explosion. Does that do damage to you? Also I immediate restarted the level and appeared on top of one of the big generators and died instantly. Four games in a row with no bigger gun spawning before I got trapped and died.
The other problem is that in the higher levels (I'm stuck on 8), I frequently get no new weapon. I'm just running around like and idiot with the ineffectual pistol, hoping that something more powerful will spawn, but it doesn't.
It's pretty fun, except there's no indication that you are taking damage other than the meter and there's no way to watch the meter when you are surrounded and shooting like crazy. There should be sound or the character should turn red or something to indicate damage is being taken. More often than not I end up dying and I have no idea that I was taking damage. Check the collision detection. It seems like you can take damage even when they are far away.
I hope your 10th grade teacher isn't the sort of person who finds violent video games alarming. I would concentrate more on grammar in school and save the Flash games for your personal time.
Yeah, kept playing a bit more, but it's just not any fun. I was able to deploy a mech, a turret and whatever the little ball with the purple thing around it is supposed to be, but none of them lasted long enough to help. I also strengthened the base a lot, but it was still destroyed in a few seconds while I was off trying to collect rocks. I just couldn't get back to it in time. The balance of difficulty is way off.
On top of the comments about the controls and scale, I would add that the system of buying new structures was very unclear. I was able to build a single turret that was destroyed in a matter of minutes. I couldn't determine whether or not I was supposed to be able to repair anything.
I give up. I set all the switches correctly and nothing happened. There doesn't seem to be anything else to do and I haven't got limitless time to spend on staring at this game.
Well, I got all the numbers into the switchbox and nothing happened. I double-checked on the walkthrough and I had them all correct. But still nothing happens after that. The walkthrough says "Talk to Tommy." OK...How? Is something supposed to happen after I set the switchbox numbers correctly? Because it doesn't.
Well, it would be more entertaining if the targets were slightly bigger or there were fewer of them. At first I had no idea where my health bar was so I had no idea how much damage I was taking. It gets really irritating when they land and just stand there shooting at you. I would rather have a machine gun that I had to reload than just some semi-automatic rifle that I have to keep clicking away with.
Would be fun except the controls are killing my wrist, all this holding down the mouse button and mousing all over the place. Who can I sue for my carpal tunnel syndrome?
That was fun. The first fish level was tricky and I had to recycle the ball a lot. At first I thought that if you recycle a ball you lost it, so I was really frustrated, but then I realized that the recycle bin was just a reset for the level. That makes the game a lot easier.
A harder version of the game would be where you only get 35 balls to complete the 30 levels.
