Took me a while to understand that the red bar was my health that that I was taking damage for running over little piles of rocks. Also, I think that when I play a game on Easy I should be able to get past the second level. Maybe it's a little hard?
Fun game for Halloween. Wasn't too hard. Nicely creepy. Was a little confused at the ending because I didn't realize I'd gotten the front door key. Liked the bonus for squishing bugs.
Fun game. It would be great if you could reset the level when you realize you've screwed up. Instead you have to click through all your turns and then wait for that annoying pause before you get the restart option. That can be really frustrating.
Damn...I've never played a game where I've clicked on so much stuff outside of the game window. I somehow managed to close three other windows while I was playing this. Really needs a more visible interaction cursor.
Really great concept but the angles of attack make it really hard to play. And the fact that you can't attack while jumping make it frustrating.
It needs to allow you to attach clones when they are below you, especially since they can attack you.
Also, the health power up doesn't seem to actually give you any health, or if it does, it's a tiny amount that I really don't notice.
The game always ends just as I'm starting to get my units upgraded to where I want them. Absolutely no challenge and you don't get to enjoy building up your ecomony so it's a double failure for enjoyment.
Noting more fun than setting up a reaction in order to get the Extra Life you need, only to find that your move causes a set of three Skulls to drop onto the screen, killing you. If there was a preview of the next item about to drop on each column you could try to create a strategy, but as it is, it's too random to really enjoy.
I don't understand...Why would you post something like this as a game? It's not a game. If you are proud of yourself for following a tutorial and making a Flash file that can "do some things" that's great. Go post it on your blog. This isn't a game and there's nothing in it that you created yourself, so why should anyone comment on it?
Nice game. Very difficult at times, but not impossible. (The red-light bridge was annoying, especially as I wrote the number clue down wrong and had to do it twice, but that was my problem). Reminded me a lot of the Angela sub-plot in Silent Hill 2. In fact the game in general reminded me of Silent Hill 2, without the gore. Even the creepy appearances of the girl--with a triangular head--reminded me of Pyramid Head. Nice work.
It's pretty frustrating that the contest submission starts on October 28, but the final tutorials aren't even going to be released until November 4.
There are going to be a lot of games submitted that don't have any of the finishing touches.
Completely lost use of the controls after the first big robot boss. On the next level my guy was just runing around randomly. I guess it was a huge lag issue, but there doesn't seem to be any way to lower the video quality. Kinda unplayable as it is.
