Also, the Boss tower, totally not worth it. When it deigns to fire whatever it's targetting dies, but it fires slower than any other tower in the game. Seriously, for 8 grand you should get something better than this. An upgraded stick man is 10x better.
I originally gave this game a rating of 4/5. Having played it longer I'm forced to lower my rating. The game works great right up until level 12. At that point the number of enemies moving towards you is more than the shots you can fire. It's completely irrelevant how skilled you are because you can't possibly fire enough shots to kill everything before it reaches you. The continues are worthless as they usually leave you in a worse position then you started out in, you restart the same level but this time all your abilities have to charge up completely. If abilities started charged, or you simply continued from where you were in the level, it might actually be worth halving your score.
It's okay. I really wish there was more flexibility in the upgrades. You end up having to give up good handling for speed, which doesn't feel much like an upgrade. 3/5
Fairly fun game. I'm just wondering why every time I play Mad Experiment I go insane. It's supposed to be a 1/4 chance but I've gotten it 4 times in a row.
A very fun game. I would be nice to have some sort of undo button, for those times you move and forget to attack, or a way to finish a unit's move so long as they haven't attacked. Also I had the stealth tanks at the end pinned down :P. Two routes out were covered by subs, which they can neither attack nor move through...would have been so easy to win :P.
It's a decent game. The control lag (not actual lag, didn't get any of that, just the 'push left, wait half a millisecond for your car to overcome inertia, release, wait half a second for it to come to a stop) is an interesting addition...but also a bad idea for such a fast paced game. 3/5
Pretty good game. My main issue is with some of the web collapse code. Had a huge web on the right side of the, heavily interweaved, which went away when one web on the left side was destroyed by a beetle. By went away I mean the 100+ web segments all collapsed, despite being easily self sufficient.
Other than that issue it was pretty fun.
Fun game. Would be nice to have two options though, auto-fire for the crossbow (toggle) and auto-deploy for the units. Mashing the buttons over and over again isn't much fun. I like how it starts off slow and builds to being epic.
Absolutely the best 'Buried Treasure' so far. Far better than most of the, whatever this genre is, I've played in the past. 5/5, why was this ever buried?
I was surprised at how fun this game was. I've been dissing the games in Buried Treasure week so far, but this was actually a Buried Treasure. Lots of fun, with a good difficulty ramp, and an interesting ending sequence. Decent visuals round it out. 4/5, a good game. Not a great game, but a good one. Nice catch Kongregate.
Decent game. If you took away the timer and the whole "Bumped into a wall? You're a failure!" thing and you might have a good fun game here. 3/5
Tip for cirvival. Balls spawn when you set off an explosion. You have infinite explosions. Do the math.
Take heli attack 3. Remove most of the weapons and enemies. Make the flying enemies 10x harder. Make the levels 40x longer. Add in ridiculously tough bosses who will force you to use all your ammo to get them down to half health. Shake Well. Output this game. 3/5, mediocre at best.
A fairly boring and repetitive version of a game concept that has been done a hundred times, most of them better than this. Not a very auspicious start to buried treasure week.
