1/5 - for a very bad main code loop that occasionally pauses for up to a second or two, and then instead of just detecting this and letting you carry on playing, it counts it as you automatically missed the notes that *it didn't even allow you to press*. Stupid.
yet again ... kong refuses to notice that I won the trophies. I had to complete the game almost 4 times to get them because of the dumb design, and some levels that are impossible to do or die on if you're unlucky.
4/5 ... down to 1/5 because of level 15. It's just lazy game design to suddenly change all the enemies in a way that means it is literally impossible for you to continue, and not even bother to let the player respec. You've already zeroed my score because my ability to read the mind of the game designer wasn't good enough - why punish me further for my lack of prescience?
4/5, but minus 2 to 2/5 because the centre of the hitzone is never in synch with the music - its the leading edge of the hit zone you have to aim for, and even if you hit within the latter half of the hitzone, it doesn't count, which sucks. You have to mentally deliberately aim for slightly ahead of hte hitzone. I'm guessing that the logic for counting hit/miss isn't extrapolating to detect when the keypress "effectively" occcured.
I love the idea, but I find the control system impossible - cant get the tail to go anywhere near where I want it, that makes it too frustrating to be enjoyalbe - 2/5
Sob. Got a score of 6,072 on medium, but kongregates servers didn't notice it. Confirmed by checking scoreboard afterwards - my score is clearly there on the author website, just not on kong :(.
3/5 - the logic for the mouse handler isnt good enough - it should snap to the target position more easily, so you can let go sooner, instead of having to very precisely place every piece
aha - ther'es the problem: the collision detection is broken. I've several times missed something that I obviously hit, and I just died from someting that DID NOT TOUCH.
1/5 for intensely dull badge, with stupid bugs like not auto reloading before starting each level, and stupid art direction with enemies that are practically invisible because of bad colour palette. Not to meniotn the "we wont tell you what your TRUE score is until you die". (yeah...I came within a few thousand of getting the badge, and if I'd known I just needed to survive an extra day or two, I could easily have done it. Suck suck suck)
I love this game - I was playing it long before it got badges, and a card, and FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, I was able to just load up my earlier game, and instantly won the card + badge (all other games like this I've had to restart them when badges/etc were added)
The autosend is a GREAT feature, takes away a dull part of the game ("hold down space bar forever"). The archer nerf was needed, too, although clearly it was a bit too much - perhaps you should make them a little faster to produce now as well? Only thing still "wrong" with this game is that the whole issue of how much money you earn per level is screwed - you get penalised for doing well, and there's no feedback for HOW much you earned or WHY you earned it (that would help enormously). Still a great game, though.
4/5 , marked down to 3/5 because the targetting of where you fire at comapred to where your mouse is positioned is always wrong when you're moving - this is not about leading targets, its simply that it DOES NOT fire where you are pointing :(.
