Oh hey, I found this in the help page: multiplier=2^(MAX/50)*(2*own)/MAX (Multiplier can never be less than 1. "own" is the number you have or your MAX, whichever is less.)
I'm not clear on how MAX works. The help page indicates that it gives a multiplier, but I can't find any indication that it's doing anything at all. How can I see what bonus I'm getting from it?
It was a good story, up until... the major characters are all literally fated by a higher power to be homosexuals. Ah well, guess I'm done. (I don't mind other characters having that kind of relationship, but could you not force it on the guy I'm playing as?)
Imagine what it's like for LG people. All their lives they have to play games that force them to be straight. And they still play them - if they can get over it, so can straight people get over playing a gay character for once, surely. ;)
In the prison break, I'm stock on the getting past the flames on the right hand side to reach the lantern. It's very simple to prove that that sub-puzzle is impossible, but it's also clearly necessary to finish the game, so... wtf? What am I missing?
I have 5 Atsuguki, but I can't finish the quest because apparently I need to finish the forester's quest first. Shouldn't I be able to skip that because I found 5 already?
I am getting a certain amount of lag. Not sure whether it's the game or my machine, but the visuals stall for a half-second while the game actually keeps going. Doesn't make it unplayable, but does sometimes cause me to lose a little faster than otherwise.
The swamp crabs are ultra-deadly, the swamp plants are basically harmless, and the water mage's "protection from water" spell is weak. Since the water mage comments that his protection spell will be useful, I was expecting the plants to be the dangerous ones, and the protection spells to give something close to immunity!
Only boss creatures have some ability to evade critical hits. The Overtax skill adds 50% crit chance, you probably just got unlucky if you didn't score a critical hit several times in a row. However - if you don't crit with Overtax, it also gives you +50% crit chance for your next attack - and if that next attack is critical, you're not affected by the power down effect.
I got stunned while wearing the anti-stun helmet (Skullcap). What does "resists" do in that case? Anything at all? (Also, I've been using Overtax nonstop, and getting no criticals - or at least, I've never gotten the "power down" effect.)
It looks like laser damage is damage-per-tick. I've left the game running overnight, and now my 100-damage lasers are dealing 16,000 damage to blocks (which isn't enough to destroy them anymore).
@Mosxar Once the levels completely fill up with black blocks, the black blocks no longer have their immunity feature, so you can use the later balls for increased damage.
I reached level 100 quite fast, and the game showed me a message telling me exactly how long it took me... then another message, but I missed it because I clicked through it too fast. What did it say?!?
I just bought 10 of every ball for the achievement... and discovered that Cannonballs are actually really good. They don't have a very nice effect or anything, they just have a really high base damage that gives them the best overall damage output.
