Also, the range boosting tower... when you upgrade it, does its EFFECT get upgraded, or just the range of its effect? I honestly can't tell and it its just upgrading the range of the effect, that should seriously be noted so people don't spend a lot of money for no good reason.
OK, so I'm just going to make some notes as I go along, sorry if my frequent and short bursts drive one or more of you insane. OK, I"m not really sorry. Anyway, first: the machine gun tower is incredibly powerful. Second, the heat ray tower is incredibly UNDERpowered for its cost and description. It doesn't have very good range at all and it doesn't deal nearly enough damage.
Good but... Mostly, it needs a save function. I got to the apartment level and set up my barricades wrong (didn't realize it until a zombie snuck up on me and started flailing away) so I quit out of the level to try again without going through the hassle of dying... It sent me back to level one... Ouch. Still, pretty darn good. The animation is cute yet creepy and I love the zombie sounds. The weapons could use some variation, it feels like I'm just upgrading the same gun over and over. Maybe stick in a flamethrower or nail gun or something to spice things up?
Yes, there's a way to solve every puzzle and beat every enemy and boss. But there are multiple spots where - if you die - you are revived in a spot where an enemy or obstacle is about to kill you, so you'll wind up dying several more times before you figure out exactly when/how to move to avoid the imminent death. THEN, you need to figure out how to avoid/kill whatever killed you in the first place!
The soundtrack is awesome! Personally, I'd "zoom in" the screen and add more detail to the minimap (like showing a basic outline of paths within an area as you explore the area) but otherwise I like it a lot so far! I haven't had any problems with lagging but I also haven't gotten all that far... yet...
A few bugs: for some reason the running slow motion throw turns into the standing throw more often than not and the music seems to die for no reason. Other than that, still on my favorites
OK, just realized how incredibly good heetseeker upgrade plus exploder upgrade is. Once you're done putting points into interest, get the heetseeker and exploder upgrades. You'll be glad you did.
PUT TONS OF POINTS INTO INTEREST. If you can get it up to even as little as 14% and hold of on buying stuff for just a few waves, you'll be able to buy anything you want. I'd suggest buying the static shield and upgrading it instead of upgrading your base's health as the shield regenerates over time and your health doesn't.
They told me I'd never destroy the earth, they told me I was mad to try... Cool ending. My only real complaint is that by the end it kind of sped up a little too much. I was being attacked constantly and I was finishing missions even faster. I didn't even need to go through patsies that much, I finished with the vampire, the pizza/mafia dude, and the tudor. I just killed the generic guys because it was funny. Still, overall, VERY good. Very funny, great graphics, the moon base and the mountain base are awesome, and the super hero and secret agent enemies are funny. I love when the super heroes die and they raise their fists and scream, "WHY?!" right before they fall, awesome!
