controls are both reversed (x for jumping/swinging, c for shooting), and very sticky. puzzles are mostly timing. Also, I have no idea what "Dragon Quest" this is supposed to be a 'spiritual successor' to, but it's certainly not the Dragon Quest I'm thinking of. >.>
Am I the only one amused by the seemingly flying creatures unable to cross water? Are they Vampire Bats (no running water)? Are they just afraid of water?
So... it's been ~90min, I think... I assume my character started at Lv1, but I really have no idea. In any case, I'm Lv36 now, and have no idea what 80% of the buttons on the GUI do. Pretty much "Click on underlined, sky-blue text" has summed up my "play experience". I'm not sure how this is supposed to be a compelling game, and I'm sure I won't be coming back.
Dear CluelessWonder,
We will remove most of buttons in game during the next maintenance. And we have planned to make it full screen later.I'm sure you will enjoy it.
@StevenMustDie: 1, you're too sensitive, if that's all it takes to make you feel guilty. 2, my solution for Spiral Core both works, and doesn't look remotely like a swastika. Maybe it's just you?
Would you believe I was so busy going back to the levels screen each time to reach the next level that I didn't find the Upgrades button until I unlocked Lv36?
99% of the time, when a rescue call comes in, I ignore it: Either I have just enough guards for my base, with no spares, or it's one of my away teams asking for help, and I'm near certain that if they just start shooting, they'll be fine...
I've never seen any ill effects from ignoring calls, either. Even when my teams call for help, they all come back fine.
I was going to vote the orange clouds as "Most Annoying Enemy"... until I encountered the invisible/warping enemy that shoots before you can even see it... but will still kill you if you touch it. That touching an enemy = instant death... highly annoying, more so when the enemies are appearing randomly on screen with no forewarning.
And, in exchange for getting stars on the first 20 levels, I unlocked the next page of puzzles! A full page of locked levels! Words can not describe the awesomeness of this feeling.
I thought the Miner block was really useful, so I upgraded it to max... Now, apparently, it's gotten delusions of grandeur, and is too good to actually ever do any work ever again. :(
Nothing quite as annoying as the path indicator saying that if you putt 100%, it'll do this... and end up in the cup, then putting 100%, and... not going in the cup.
I would swear I've played a game with most of these game mechanics, before. Some are new, such as the block sliding puzzle on Lv12. Incidentally, I hate that kind of block sliding puzzle, so I'm done now.
Have to concede: it was very convenient to have unlocked the Sherman and the Pershing by the time Tigers showed up. The +4 Piercing might've helped a tad, too. Still for whatever reason, I have nearly no control over either gun or driving for the first 10-20 seconds of every battle. It's gotten me killed more than once.
This must be the only game where *every* *single* *level*, at the end of the boss, I think "Whew, that was close! I survived that somehow, glad that's ov... That was the midboss?!?"
So far (Level 7), this seems to be less of a "physics" game and more of a "timing" game. I.e. if your click is not at the precise, correct nanosecond, you will fail the level. Level 7 seems to be an excellent example of this.
We updated game, sorry for mistake in game controls
