Speaking of confusing: In level 2, just as the 2nd door is almost flooded over, at almost full health, and no one visibly shooting at me, my character has died, twice. Looks like I suffered a headshot, but as I said, no one shooting at me at the time. Well, no one onscreen anyway.
They only have a damage of 1 and the armor on the large spiders is 2 so they do no damage. I decided not to have them consider them as targets so they could shoot at more important things. However, this isn't exactly consistant with the other towers. Snipers will shoot at the flying enemies but will miss every time. I am working on a way to keep them consistant and I realize it seems kind of strange right now.
Kind of a small thing, but could you highlight the newly gained achievements after the game where you got them? I like looking at the new stuff, but at 57/85 new stuff tends to get lost in the clutter.
Is there a particular reason the enemies all miraculously gather either at the sewer portal exit, or the end of stage exit? I've had enemies that were on other parts of the stage, easily bypassed, all decided to examine the car in detail (behind the sandbags), when I'm trying to leave a stage. Also, enemies sometimes change position when changing screens, but if they're in the worst possible spot (all sitting on the exit portal, say), then they don't? What gives?
The part of the tutorial that says to hold down the left button to "increase firing speed" is completely wrong. The faster you click, the faster you fire. It's MUCH faster than simply holding down the button.
Personally, I found the 1st boss to be something of a joke. Rather than jumping down into the boss room, I ran over the top/ceiling to the top right corner and from the open corner there, sniped the at boss's weak point, where none of it's attacks could reach me. Just took some patience.
Don't know about anyone else, but the Bullet Storm did everything I needed it to do, at least until I saved up enough for the Crusher. Saw no reason to get any of the in-between ships...
The Twister -> Tornado -> Typhoon -> Tempest -> Hurricane spawn series is quite annoying. Either the next in series doesn't spawn (or it headed opposite of the way I was going and I never saw it), or it's going a little bit faster than my top speed and it either kills me on the way by or I can't catch up. Also, I rarely "use" powerups, I just keep them and if I hit something, a large chunk of the powerup trail disappears instead of me having to respawn.
Somewhere in the middle of World 1, I quit replaying for a better time. At the end of World 1, I thought, "Wow, that was tough, but at leas... Wait, there's a World 2?!?" And, not long after starting World 2, I stopped caring about medal times, just happy to complete the level. Now, after a ~3min time and 45 deaths on 2.11 Rip Tide, I'm thinking... "Maybe I'm not skilled enough for this..." ;_;
No wonder these people only have 1 pilot to defend themselves with: They clearly have a penchant for sending their people on suicide missions with only impossible objectives and obsolete equipment for "backup". All the sane people either never signed up or retired early and everyone else is already dead from going out on similar solo missions...
Well, I'm conflicted while playing this: "Am I bored out of my mind, or just actively unhappy while playing this?" Incidentally, this is not the sort of question you want your players to be asking themselves.
sorry, we tried to reproduce that bug... not reproducable...
