So. Much. Like. Work. I can't believe this is part of a quest... Kongregate hates me... Seriously though, who goes into an ice cream shop and customizes their order to this extent (let alone to any extent)?
I am only playing this for the badge of the day. Normally, I avoid these games because they are more like work than fun. This one is a bit different though because people aren't screaming at you to "hurry up and melt that ore". I still think it's pretty funny that instead of test fitting parts you just drop them on though...
Playing this on a laptop. Apparently you can't move the mouse cursor while you are pressing a directional key. Makes it impossible to actually find any enjoyment whatsoever. Serious failure there... Got my 50 kills for the BotD and left 1 star just for the bad experience...
I'm trying to figure out how it can possibly take longer to reload a handgun that takes a magazine (Baretta/Desert Eagle) than it does to reload one with a cylinder without a speedloader (Colt). None of the guns in this game actually use "clips", btw.
There's something to be said about a game where the only way to make it harder is to make the odds insurmountable instead of actually making the AI play smarter. You can't say that being able to regenerate hit points and use skill cards is equal to being able to instantly spawn 100 units which totally negate any type of healing and usually end up in an instant loss even if you were winning the entire battle. That and the controls for this are awful (I tell my zombies to move to a point at the front of the battlefield and my general with 2 hit points left decides to lead them - stupid).
There's a popular comment saying that this is a lot like Total War. I have to disagree... This is a lot more reminiscent of the Warhammer games: Shadow of the Horned Rat and Dark Omen. Google them and you'll see the similarities right off the bat.
It's a good thing my kids like these cute little Kongpanions enough to play a game that says "fnck you" to them in order to get one... The game itself is fine (even if remarkably short), but the decision to make it a badge of the day is a little on the iffy side considering the amount of kids that frequent this place.
Fun way to kill half an hour. Have to agree with the earlier comment about ssh not being able to power machines on. You'd need something like a DRAC card or something (although Dell wasn't around back then). I kept typing "exit" when I was done remoting to another computer and getting an error. It shouldn't be too hard to fix that... But like I said, overall, a good game. Thanks for making it!
This game is bad on a couple of levels. Technically, it does have lots of bugs and does lag every browser I have after playing ac few rounds. Also, I got stuck where I was running out of stamina and had to hope for a key to get new equipment. If it weren't for the badge reminding me that I should level up my kitties, then I never would have known that I could...
This was fun until the last piece... Sorry, but pixel perfect jumping with double jumps that simply don't always work gets one star. Back in 1993, this might have worked, but not now...
Aside from the memory leak that eventually slows everything down (just close and reopen your browser, folks), it was pretty good. The lack of any type of ending whatsoever when you beat the last battle and click on the exit door (not even a "game over") was pretty disappointing though. Overall, it was a good time waster.
On the card select screen, it says "Welcome to our etc... Your main goal is:", but it doesn't say anything after that. It would be nice to know how much I still "owed". I find it a bit distracting to only be able to do that while matching tiles.
