The graphics show promise and the premise is OK. Needs more razamataz to add a polish, maybe a tutorial, a bit more depth to the strategy, and SOME FREAKING FRIENDLY SHIP AI! Seriously, I had such difficulty just getting my ships to defend themselves. That kind of crap ought to be automatic
As people have said, it's far too easy. Once you build a fort you can just hide in it from the monsters unless you're dead set on getting all the achievements. Also, there doesn't seem much point to building and upgrading turrets. They cost too much and cause too little damage. You can escape long before they become actually useful.
This game is more about enjoying the experience than challenging yourself, and in that it is at least partly successful. However it could use a few more game modes to add longevity.
I love these games, but being colourblind there are some levels I find annoyingly difficult because the tones of paint are too similar. Any chance that you'll allow the player to choose what colours of paint they want to use in the next edition? That way I could pick colours that I could tell apart.
Not a bad space game as shooters go, but suffers from the usual problems thereof. By the later missions the screen becomes so crowded that it becomes near impossible to see where the enemy bullets are from the sheer amount of pick-ups each kill generates. This makes it more a game of luck than skill in the later stages.
Can't help noticing that it costs a lot less upgrade points if you save 'em all up and just buy really high level upgrades straight away, rather than paying for all the low-leve ones first. In fact, seems to cost the same to buy an upgrade at level 10 whether your current level in that upgrade is one or nine. Something wrong there, I think.
If you're after the badges and unlocks, I wouldn't bother with the black hole. Once the baddies get to a certain level of toughness, the black hole effect tends to dominate the field meaning the vast majority of your kills aren't counted. I was at 3,500 on medium, and was getting on average two kills per wave of ten or more creeps.
Why on earth is the metal detector finding obsidian at all? Obsidian is basically volcanic glass.
Not a bad game though, even if it is mostly a hidden object hunt.
Not a bad adventure game in its way, though I would question how a small clamp is supposed to block what looks like a brass propane pipe. Also, there were too many clues to easy puzzles.
A good game and some improvements over the previous one. I'd like to suggest changing the dungeon tile graphics so it's obvious where walls are, and where you might have to approach closer to see more of the map.
As this style of game goes, it's not bad. However as a game taken on its merits alone, it's pretty dull. Strategy is practically non-existent and all you end up doing is clicking to attack, or using a special attack against powerful foes. It's not like there's even a decent storyline to follow. I know a lot of people like these games, but I don't see the attraction myself. It's nothing but grind.
It's not a bad puzzle game, but I kinda wish they'd made each episode longer and had fewer of them. The setting is pretty amusing though, even if it does remind me of America McGee's Alice
An acceptable tower defence game, though not particularly polished or excellent. Enjoyable enough I suppose. I did like the fact that your 'towers' were paid for in between quests rather than during each mission, allowing you to concentrate on proper placement and upgrades. On the whole though, it brings nothing much new to the genre.
