And, yes, it's a lot like splashback, but I don't hate you for it. This actually seems a lot cleaner without all the extra crap like characters that play no part in the game. While this might not be original, I prefer it.
IT'd be nice if the fully automatic weapons had a semi-auto setting, especially the P90 and the assault rifles. I don't miss the accuracy challenges by missing the targets but by accidentally firing a second shot. And these guns have a semi-auto setting in real life, don't they?
Got it! Lower the quality and # of bullets on screen and shut down any unnecessary programs/windows. Then use a steady sweeping motion from bottom to top to take out the first two columns and another steady motion down to take out the last one. And keep the button held down; it fires again as soon as it's reloaded.
I think I may have figured out the Uzi challenge. It looks like the firing rate and reload times are set to a certain frame rate while the counter stays true to real time. So if your computer is experiencing any lag at all you fire slower and take longer to reload because the game plays out the entire animations. I noticed that spraying bullets while moving up and down emptied the clip in about 4 seconds while holding it steady cut the time to just under 4. So I lowered the game quality and shut down all other windows and some unnecessary background programs and things go much quicker now.
Any tips on the Uzi speed challenge? My best is 6 seconds and I don't know how I even got that close. You have to take out 30 targets with a gun with a 22 round clip, and reloading seems to take a full second or more.
Agreed, cute but easy. Also, I thought the music fit in perfectly with the graphics and story, but it runs on a loop and the cut where it begins again is so drastic that it really detracts from my enjoyment of it.
Agree with the first poster. Also, you can be sitting right on top of a building but it doesn't register it as a capture attempt. You have to move off and then back on a couple of times before it works.
Warlord, the things sometimes change places. I agree with mendelde's assessment. And why no mute button? If I click the wrong spot I do not need a harsh beep in response.
Zlah, it's not about one or the other. It's about all of them hitting in unison. Like when the laser blasts down and then, while you're trapped on the side of the screen, a missile comes. And the total random nature of the attacks is also annoying. I've gone as much as 20 seconds on level 9 without a missile being fired at the start of the level, but I've also had three fired at me within the first 2 or 3 seconds.
While my reaction is not as visceral as that of jockes12, I agree with his overall assessment. This game is just OK. I agree that the mines being dangerous only to your asteroid sucks. I'm not asking that they attack the other asteroids, too, but I think the player should be able to lure an active mine into an asteroid. The UFO coming out of nowhere also sucks. And while I appreciate the few seconds of post-collision invincibility and the ability to regain lost fragments of the asteroid, I don't appreciate the inability to pick them (or any other small ones) up while still invincible. This makes it nearly impossible to beat a level if you make even one mistake.
