Every level is its own unique mix of stupid? Get the most kills on your team? LOAD THE AREA WITH TONS OF FRIENDLIES IN A SUPER SMALL AREA SO THEY CAN TAKE ALL YOUR GUN. Capture the flag? ENEMY TEAM SPAWNS ON THE FLAGS. 1v1 an enemy? MAKE HIM TELEPORT THE INSTANT HE SEES YOU SO IT TAKES FOREVER.
1/5. Trash game. You can't even get a decent amount of credits to try the different guns/equipment without a ton of grinding.
Pros: Fluid gameplay, large variety of enemies, old enemies don't get magically stronger for no reason instead new stronger versions come out while old ones are still present.
Cons: My mouse speed is much slower in the game window, having to collect coins, small arena, vector addition makes diagonal movement strictly better, game is overall too easy.
Conclusion: A solid base game that could be very good with designed levels, but as exists is a 20 minute straight easy play-through with not much replayability.
Very boring. The single level is very long and basically the same the whole way through. I beat the game easily on my first try and was bored with it 1/3 of the way through. There wasn't even any strategy to it ... the platforming is linear where you just jump when there's a jump, and you grab all the powerups. Can't conserve ammo for when you'd want it, everything dies in basically one or two hits ... there's no attacks except things trying to run into you ... overall was tedious.
Okay ... beat the nightmare and have no idea how. I died on one run but at the end it just did an alternate ending. Wasn't the furthest run I have done, wasn't the first since getting all the other medals ... this whole game needs a lot of minor improvements. As is, it's just confusing and somewhat aggravating. 2/5
How do you beat the nightmare? I've gotten all the other badges and all the upgrades and gone over 1000 distance and I still can't get the badge for beating the nightmare.
The sword attacking is terrible. Why is there a bar that goes up and down, and then it does nothing once you push x? It should attack when you push x, not just ... decide to attack whenever it wants after you push x. Also, the rabbits are nearly impossible to see because of the foreground grass.
It seems like it would be a decent game on the surface, but there's several big flaws. 1) There's not really any penalty to dying. 2) Making access to areas dependent on leaving in-tact destructible objects is annoying. 3) Even if you get to the "secret" areas they never have anything good. 4) The spike balls hurting you when they aren't moving and laying in a narrow passageway is stupid.
The hard part of the survival badge is unlocking survival mode. Got it first try easily. Beating Atropos? That took ten tries.
Tips for Atropos btw. Use all bullets, all with splits, two with homing, one with acid, and one with weaken. Use the HP body and damage reduction (shield) ship mod. Use the leech bomb mod. Focus on dodging/living, use bombs when you're low on hp.
Turn radius sucks, it's hard to see the terrain and know what you can/can't run through, accuracy is trash, and level boundaries are super annoying. 2/5
"Don't leave the pig behind!"
Maybe if the ****ing pig actually followed me through the portals I wouldn't have to? Did you think of that, game creator? No.
Lots of little problems to the game. Can't jump while you have fuel, can't hit flying enemies when you don't, boss intros are too long, pickups disappear at start/end of bosses, fuel runs out after boss kill on transitions, most spells are useless, the hit box on the player isn't clear, having to re-run completed sections is boring ... 2/5
It's too freaking loud. Even on the lowest sound option I've got on my computer it's so loud. There really needs to be an in-game slider for the sound.
Area 5 Bonus 2 is by far the hardest stage. I died 3x more there than all other places combined, including Area 5 Bonus 3. My advice to anyone going after the impossible badge (in addition to ivod's comment) is to use 3 missiles instead of 1, and to use 2 absorption panels/2 power boosters/2 advanced targetings for the accessories. Scrape as much as you can and kill the miniboss at the start of the stage midway through his purple wave attack. After that it's relatively easy.
It is impossible to keep morale up. The only way to get morale is to send a search party, which does worse the worse morale you have. A full find of items/weapons/survivors increases morale by less than one death. Once you drop below 70 morale, you're stuck in an endless cycle of failure in searches, which leads to less people, which leads to being unable to send searches.
