mh..33k gameplays, woah.. scary considering that it's a 2.93 game.
Well, the "soundtrack" is.. erm...bad. It's just annoying. Somehow it lacks a pause button when I needed one :/ The spelling, hum, ok, that's something that shouldn't happen.
The graphics are nice, the gameplay nothing special and below average - the game is also quite short. 2/5 +1 feels ok for it.
hum.. ok, the concept is ok, the graphics - mh, yes, as well. The main flaw of the game is it's difficulty and repetition though. It's just too easy, the spawn rate is too little (zombies spawn, bam, ...years later, spawn, bam, ... years later). Also there is too little new within the 30 levels, 3-5 levels always feels quite the same. Also I didnt ever got hit by a zombie and barely lost guys - force the player to actually hit&run zombies and the like
3/5
mmh.. ok, so it started quite nice.. and then became too easy and boring :( 4/5 - 1 The balance is still kinda bad - I mean what do you need except riders, towers and if you drown in mana dragons? The riders even deal more damage than the dragons and give more exp! ..gah..
mmh, well, ok, the concept/performance is quite nice, but it has serious balance problems and the controls are horrible. Did you notice that you can move diagonally and move as fast as light? :P
Like ppl before said: towers too weak, skorpions too tough.
3/5, could be more if you fixed the problems
I'll just follow gregs suggestion (-> sgt droopys forum link) and rate like if it's not stolen (though I also have the suspicion). The game is great, somehow random but fun :D
so 5/5 + fav (and I hope it will stay there for some time)
mh, three more things:
a) if you die and start a new game, you hear the music twice - which is kinda annoying
b) I just discovered the "make my hitboxes smaller" option.. it really makes the game more playable. Why isn't it standard?
c) my pc started to cry at the second boss, due to the mass bullets - and no, I don't believe that it's unimprovable. Maybe it's a matter of the qualitysetting (make it automatic?) or you gotta rethink the bulletspam and if there is a less resourcewasting way to calculate all the colldetections.
mmh, the atomic concept/idea is nice, so +1. But well, as a shooter it's not really entertaining. It feels kinda hard to stay alive and never got past the second boss. So I think health is quite a problem. Also the screen somehow is always spammed full with photons, that's kinda annoying. And somehow it's a bit monotonous as well. I don't get the quarks system either, somehow the bars are often filled but nothing happens.
So 2/5 + 1 for concept
hmm.. you should really work on the AI - somehow extreme doesnt feel harder than normal. And a single defense star can handle the complete industrial production of an ai enemy - give them some more brain.
In fact this is prolly the biggest problem - the AI somehow isn't able to break your defenses. Without this, there is just no threat. You just keep on trying to conquer something and if you get it, fighter or def it. The ai is just like "I attack some stupid target with everything I have, one ship at a time, and no matter how impossible it is to win the attack" - so please, make it more intelligent, even though it's a challenge :/ but it makes the game more of a challenge
hm, replaying lvl 9 doesnt take too long, just a "select all systems - fighter/def - wait - counter attack - done"-thing. The level seems to work fine for me.
mmmh.. but is it intended that fighters don't get attacked by minefields (and prolly even defensestations?!) - this makes things much easier somehow - little need to get rocketstations (maybe to break through this nasty belt at the last mission).
ok, the concept is great - you could explain the surround system a little bit better (I always need to guess where to place ships to get surroundingbonus). One huge flaw is the performance though - it's just too laggy too quickly. Maybe you should replace single ships with the same target with a fleet (like in nanowar where for performance reasons bubbles with the same destination were fusioned).
5/5
Well, in fact someone stole the game a week or so ago, telling that he had the permission .. which he obviously didn't, because he didn't even know the authors nick and said he was two different persons^^
It's a nice game, though a little bit boring to the end. 4/5
mmmh, ok, it's not bad, but it simply lacks of originality and there is too much repeatition - I stopped after the rabbits appeared, which felt rather late.
Basically you had 5 types of obstacles: size 1 (3 types! and they are all the same), 2, 3 and size 1 but long - and the moving size 1 target. You could have made the mud make you slip (= losing control) and the pumpkin e.g. blurring your vision, or reversing time (you still gotta evade though), or .. anything! Flipping the tracks vertically/horizontally. Or what about 2D movement instead of 1D (except time dimension)? And thats just the things I came up after a few minutes.. simply avoid repeatation (e.g. the first few levels are practically the same).
Another thing: I wished I could end the game and still submit. Also what are the cups all about?
It feels more like 3/5 than 2/5 though - due to the nice atmossphere.
