It's never a good sign when a game with so many issues (this literally could be the most buggy game ever put on flash game sites) and the developers won't at least acknowledge the comments. It shows they don't really care. Let's count the bugs in this game: The memory leaks are SO bad that literally in the FIRST run you will see noticeable lag. Play the final level a few times and it is so slow it almost looks like a purposeful slow motion effect. 2. The jumping is atrocious. I'll push the up key 5 times and it still won't jump. 3. The inventory so confusing that it even confused the developer. I'll get a new sword and the ! icon is showing a new hat) and finally 4. Make sure you have at least ONE kitty with a long range weapon if you make it to the final boss. If they are all short range attackers, you may kill all the enemy minions and be to the right of the final boss. If that happens, the kitties will just run off the screen and not kill the boss, effectively making you lose.
This is one of those games that will make you scream "JUST LET ME PLAY THE GAME!" instead of covering up parts of the screen (sometimes very important areas of the screen) to hold my hand through a level.
The only thing worse than a game with horrible lag is a GRIND game with horrible lag. And this is a game with LOTS of grinding and LOTS of lag. Even with my flash settings at low quality, it takes just 3 runs or so for it to slow down to a crawl. There aren't even a lot of things on the screen to cause these lags. ITs baffling.
Please, to game designers everywhere...Allow me to turn off the music but still have sounds. I want sounds. Whereas, I am pretty sure the last game I wanted the game music on was Super Mario Bros.
Controls are just terrible. I am wondering if the person who made this game ever PLAYED it before releasing it. I can't imagine anyone being happy with those controls.
If I die on a screen that has one of those annoying instructions screens, please don't make me have to Z through those boring instructions every time I go back to the boss!
I guess I will give you credit for trying something new..but maybe something new isn't always good. The whole combo thing to kill the boss was pretty stupid. It just didn't fit in this game.
There are definitely some weird quirks to this game. And not really good ones. Most games with a "launch" feature REWARD you for doing a good launch. You get extra stamina and can last longer. But this game just makes you run faster, which makes it harder to get money, and easier to get killed. But even when you run low due to a bad launch, you still keep going until you die. So, especially early on when you are grinding for upgrades, you are better off going slow. And second..why would I risk my health by killing enemies when it doesn't benefit me in any way? I get money for destroying a book shelf, but not for killing an enemy? Makes absolutely no sense. These two things makes this definitely one of the weaker "launch and attack" style games.
The game isn't even worth searching for. Not only is it a keyboard breaker, but the keys are dumb. Making the Space be the jump for hte hurdle is stupid when you realize that players on these track and field games don't youse one hand to run. You use both hands. So the jump button has to be nearby. (Like hte arcade game had it.) Also...the screen is too small or hte game play is too zoomed in. IT makes the hurdles a guessing game. By the time the hurdles come on the screen, you better have already jumped or you will hit them. Why would they center the screen on the man rather than make him at the left of the screen so we can see more of what is in front of us? What is behind us is meaningless.
Even with fully upgraded steering, the game relies too much on luck. Some levels, you get almost no fuel, and the ones that do come are too far away from where you are to have any chance of getting. So it is impossible to finish those races, no matter how great your skill is.
Skill didn't seem to be a deciding factor for this game. I played twice. Twice in the second round, I got just 4 shots off, all aimed right at his head. None hit, but all of HIS shots hit and killed me. I didn't bother playing a third time if it is just going to be luck.
The scrolling is bad. Not only does it not scroll smoothly, but it stops too soon, forcing you to make cuts at the very edge of the window, with pixel perfect accuracy,
I ran into some of the same problems that I really would have hoped was fixed by the 4th installment. When the bow is too close to the side of the window, it sometimes will not let you pull it all the way. Once your cursor leaves the window, it will not pull the bow anymore.
I guess since I used to play games in the 80s, I do not expect every game to be made for a 5 year old and be ridiculously easy, so I didn't find this game all that hard. However, I got horrible lag issues, even after turning the quality to low. Even with just one enemy on the screen at the time. It made me have to stop playing.
I just don't get why people who make these kids of games don't include two very simple things. 1. Mute the annoying music without muting sound. and 2. Allow players to Restart using R.
Didn't take long to wear out its welcome. There is just not enough to keep it interesting for very long. Not to mention, a lot of the difficulty seemed to be simply recognizing what you had to avoid. Not exactly a skill.
I liked it a lot until I got the unintentional zombie enemy twice in a row and couldn't finish the level. I was hoping he would at least kill me after I built up a nice chain. But he just stood there so I had to quit and lose everything I earned in the round. After two in a row, I just couldn't bring myself to play again.
we fix it. thanks.
