Why does the retreat button not become available until I'm 1 hit from death? This makes it pointless. I don't gain anything by pushing it, and I don't avoid losing anything by pushing it. Leave it up at all times, so I can save time by instantly restarting rather than being stuck waiting 5-10 seconds on battles I can't possibly win.
When I get resource production upgrade scrolls, they fail to register their effect on my display. No matter how many I get, all my resources still report +.025 per second per worker.
Hit a wall at 10. Can't kill anything and mobs heal to full after battles. No quests to do. Can't reset yet. Can't farm anything. Nothing to do but wait around an hour or two buying little 2-4% arsenal upgrades until I can kill a trash mob.
Demon hunter level: my cleric and warrior die instantly upon starting the level for no obvious reason. (Comes back later with 100 more health) Same thing, insta-death upon entering level for no obvious reason. If there's a trap or something that I need a new character to disarm, it should at least be visible on the map so i know this isn't a bug.
@SadPanda, re 24 hour achieve: yes, most of my afk time was in chrome either minimized or looking at another browser tab. If the game clock is counting rather than checking before/after time, then it's probably processing fewer cycle while minimized, thus progress would be slowed. Also, I sent you some kong messages with feedback too lengthy to fit in a comment box. Cheers!
Cool! I'll check my mail; I always forget about that when I get caught up in comments XD For the 24 hr achievement it only counts in-game play time not offline currently but minimizing or having it in another tab is fine. It uses real time, so that should work. We're going to look into that one tonight for you. Thanks so much for following up :)
Mousing over achievements should show progress. Also, some of them should probably be removed. Poke 10000000 times? Once a second, that's 115 days. Also, rather than a icon for every achievement, they could be consolidated by showing levels. A lot of do X more times, or reach a higher level of Y. So rather than showing an entire screenful of 8 indicators for "reach Z level with girl" show only a single indicator, and state on it which level, for example 3/8 it has.
Thanks for letting us know, LordBucket! Did you leave it open in another tab or close the browser? I think we need to look at how achievements are working with offline progress, that may be it.
Bug: reloaded page to get the update. Girl display was missing: http://i.imgur.com/HL97afe.png. Clicking around on the various tabs doesn't fix it. Clicking on a specific girl does, but that really should put up a girl by default rather than giving us a scary looking blank screen.
Yeah good call, it's referencing the beginning state when you first met Cassie hence the blankness... it does look scary o.O Yup, you're right. it should always default to show the first girl in the list or maybe the last one you had active. Thanks LordBucket!
Request: would you standardize gift costs? The 416781782 kind of numbering rather than 10000 numbering is a bit offputting. Also, once we've unlocked a girl at least once, would you add mouseovers to their avatar that list the unlock criteria? Would you also add mouseovers to the itemized list under girl requirements? For example, if I mouseover "shoes" I'd like to see something like "Gift: Shoes, 10000 monies The way to a man's heart is through his stomache. To a woman, through her feet. Wearing these, she'll always think of you when you take them off to rub her feet."
hahaha love that quote :P Yes mouse overs will help dispel the confusion, and I'd like to get them in sooner rather than later. I'm thinking there could be a toggle mode that turns on tool tips for everything, but maybe hover states aren't as distracting as I think...
I think I would prefer if hobby levelup times were equalized. Funny, for example. takes a lot longer to level than anything else for some reason. Left the game running overnight from level 7 funny and level 8 brooding, came back to level 9 funny and level 16 brooding. If funny is more important, then instead of making it take longer, simply have it require higher skill levels to do what it does, but keep the training times consistent across the board.
You have a lot of really good feedback ( I saw your other posts ) and want to give a full response, I am still at work though so I just wanted to let you know I read it all and will reply to every point you brought up!! Later tonight :)
Why does kissing a homeless girl unlock university and skydiving? o.O Broodign or vigilanteeism I can see, but university and skyding? Not only does that make no sense, the pacing ia fairly bad. There's a HUGE jump after unlocking bow hunting...and then all at once you unlock all four of the last hobbies from one single girl level. That really should be spread out better.
Does anything in the game make sense, really? :P Quill favors the trait 'lucky' so sky diving made sense there... We're still working on the progression but you're right there are some huge jumps in there now. Working on iiiiit!!!
Hmm Quill should be unlocked by protesting / motivation (since it's in the cutscene) but I'll take another look... Although every girl likes people who are tech savvy, it's like the most desirable trait amiright.
(3/3) Cassie moonlight stroll date makes me wait for a timer rather than show an event. Music is more or less appropriate, but very forgettable. Unlocking for hobbies is unintuitive. Many elements need mouseovers. Jobs/hobbies feel excessively linear. No real choice in what to do, or what to unlock, and girls seem to need everything, no point in focusing. Yet game makes me guess Tutorial went on a little too long. We get it. Also, on second run, I don't need to be reminded that hobbies exist. What is tutorial girl's name? Also, I should be able to talk to her. Please unlock "dancing" by default on second run. Pausing a job doesn't, but probably should highlight it on the left. What exactly does bonus multiplier do? It's not clear. Perma-losable diamonds that can only be received once ever is going to seriously annoy players. Some issues, but overall, I like. Will play.
(2/3) Bug: At some stages, selecting Mio and Quill causes their speech and image to reset to starting levels briefly, even if you've progressed past them. Why would I give a homeless girl a shell? Needs an "idle" game tag. 506 affection? 1139? Why not even numbers? Sometimes girls unlock at really weird times. Not sure if bug or coincidence, but I've seen Quill unlock when leveling gaming rather than tenderness, and Elle just unlocked with a Mio date. 'Poke' event texts hide the image change. I want to see the girl when I poke her, not a text box.
By starting levels do you mean their very first popup image (like Mio and her ice cream bucket)? I'll look into that bug. The shell, like most of the other items, are placeholder...we haven't had time to sit down and flesh out specific requirements for all the girls yet. So yes, it's weird she really wants a shell instead of a new home haha. Poor girl has gone batty.
There is a reason for not doing even numbers, but I can't give away our secrets. I don't think Elle would have unlocked with the Mio date, maybe it was coincidence? Hers should be wisdom.
