New player tips: You get nothing for a reset with under 35 kittens. 35 or more kittens will give karma worth 10% happiness bonus plus %1 for each additional point. Every kitten after 70 gives you a point of paragon, which gives bonuses to both kitten and automated production, as well as a global storage capacity bonus. Also, once you reach space and unlock metaphysics, you can spend paragon for persistent upgrades. DON'T try to reach space on your first run. Have at least 100 paragon before you try. Zebra trade requires trade ships to unlock and every trade ship up to 243 increases your chance of getting titanium. Every trade ship with no limit increases the amount of titanium you get. On first reset STOP at Architecture. Don't even bother researching beyond that. Get trade ships, titanium, trade with zebras, reset with 90-100 kittens. Early on, sacrifice 1 set of unicorns for tears for the 10 happiness boost and don't bother with the unicorn tech tree. It's very late game.

Wow, kittens on kong? Ok. To prospective players, this is a long term game, and has balance very different from most incrementals. There are multiple different persistent upgrades currencies, karma and paragon, as well as a persistent faith bonus and a science upgrade that creates yet another persistent currency: time crystals. There's a lot to this game, it has a very slow pace, and it will probably be a week of play before you're ready for your first reset, probably 2-3 weeks and at least one reset to get to space, and months to get to the actual end game.

Why are people still making web games for unity? Do they not realize chrome is half the browser market? And what was the purposes of specifically disabling this game for chrome and putting up this 'download firefox' window, when there are still plenty of us who've implemented the unity workaround for chrome? Do you simply not want people to play your game?

Developer response from HexagonGames

Unity is working on a WebGL export that doesn't suck. I am working on trying to get their sucky WebGL export to work with this game. When either they come out with a seamless export or I figure out how to tap dance just right, this game will support Chrome.

Oh! If you want an easy 500,000 in the challenge room , just go to the spring board under the platform and simply repeatedly jump on it over and over until the time runs out. Each jump gives a big multiplier.

Meh, this game looks good, but I can't deal with the long "click here, click here, click here, click here" tutorial. I'd like to play the game, not endlessly play whack-a-mole with "click me!" buttons like a mindless automaton.

Developer response from FremenCorp

Hello LordBucket, Thank you for trying SR:G and for your feedback! We'll work on impriving tutorial in future versions, but are currently focused on making sure everyone can access the game and save properly. We still can't reproduce these issues locally, which doesn't help to fix them. We have released a patch that seems to improve the situation, and aim to solve it entirely. Then we'll move to improving content, a better tutorial is on the list :)

This game desperately needs mouseover texts and more information. What's the difference between classes? What's the significance of choosing one stat over another? What's an LP? Shift click to do 10 or 100x what? Why no X/Y indicator for the blue progress bar? Is that levelup progress? If so, why isn't it changing? When does anything interesting happen? I've clicked up 1500 xp, character level doesn't seem to be moving or changing, and the only indication of any kind at all that I can do anything other than click for xp is the option to buy trainers at 6k xp, that will automate the clicking...allowing me to eventually buy artifacts starting at 105 million xp. The game has utterly failed to capture my interest enough to want to do that, and I can't tell if it's bugging out on my machine or simply terribly designed.

Developer response from TickbirdGames

Thanks for your feedback. We are definitely looking into better conveyance, as this is a sore spot for many of our players.

Please eliminating the s...l...o... w... s... c... r... o... l... l... i... n... g... t... e... x...t ...t. Yes, I realize I can "speed it up." No, we don't want to have to push stuff to make it slightly less painfully slow. Just PUT THE TEXT ON THE SCREEN. Please. Thank you. Also, game needs mouseover texts. And it really drags, but being able to hold the mouse down and move it to go where we want. Spacebar is defense. There's no need to have holding the mouse button also be defense just to make us constantly click to go anywhere.

Yeah, sorry. I'm done. Game literally won't let me do things unless I continue mindlessly doing every step the tutorial tells me to do: http://i.imgur.com/BIzqixK.png Sitting here for five minutes just doing what I'm told to do over and over and over and over is not a game. Kill the tutorial. It's incredibly obnoxious.

The tutorial is grueling. Can we have a way to disable it? Yes, I understand that clicking on lumber will give me lumber. Yes I understand when I see three options to choose from that I have three options to choose from. the hand-holding is seiously excessive, and you have unlocks restricted to the tutorial popups. For a while I was stuck because i was so frustrated having to constantly click the tutorial windows to make them go away that i just stopped bothering, and doing so caused the game to no longer grant access to things I'd unlocked until I went back and found the tutorial menu I skipped and clicked it.

Developer response from KingOg

Sounds like a good idea, shall look into doing this!

Also, game is a massive resource hog. This looks like very badly optimized unity. There's no reason for a couple static images and numbers incrementing to visibly slow my computer down to the point that scrolling down to the comments section is painful. I can run multiple simultaneous instances of WoW with less browser slowdown than I'm seeing right now.

Developer response from ExperaGameStudio

We'll try to optimize it better in the next release. We developed the game in only a week and we didn't spend a lot of time optimizing it.

1) Need better progress indicator. I see pryamid increasing, but I just FEEL like I'm getting weaker, because everything takes longer. 2) Move mummu purchases off the right menu. Don't want to accidentally purchase. 3) Mummy mouseover text doesn't say what their bonus is. 4) Many mouseovers texts are unclear. Example: odalisques will "increase your glory" but they don't. They increase your 'empire growth.' 5) HOw do you get mummies? Text claims it's from killing slaves, but watching the numbers, it appears more copmlicated than that. If I have X mummiesin the chamber at Y deaths, I don't have 2X mummies at 2Y deaths. 6) Better use of screen space please. The improvements icons aren't pretty enough to justify scrolling.

Developer response from ExperaGameStudio

We will consider your suggestion for a next release. About the mummies: the mummification chamber work in a "charging way". The dead slaves charge the mummification chamber until it get to the correct value and then you get a mummy. The next value to reach for a new mummy will be bigger but it will be faster with the progress of the game.

Too simple. Too repetitive. Takes ~5 minutes to unlock everything. At battle level 12 now, and there's been no change to the game since level 2.
