While there is some strategy to the game, (that is, if you're losing, take more risks) otherwise it is 99% luck. It's sort of fun in a time-wastey sort of way for about 3-5 games before you realize this is an exercise of almost pure luck, then it's too insufferably boring to play again.
Not bad, but one thing I noticed right away is that if you die, you can continue but then you lose all your money and upgrades. If you want to start again from the beginning there is no obvious way to do that.
This has been done before and much better, strange concept though. Why use orange and red colors when they look so similar? When dragging, you have to drag over a specific area or it deselects what you are trying to do - very annoying.
Good improvement getting rid of the click-hold mechanic. A couple of things: I'd make the YUM! blocks appear for less time, the game is a little too easy and that might help toughen it up a bit. Maybe add some kind of damage system? Powerups that show up randomly and upgrades for scoring high would be nice. (Maybe have upgrades associate to a single color that he changes to, that would be sort of neat.) Hope the game continues to improve.
I was enjoying the game until I got to day 6, and realized that all the upgrades I had invested in were completely useless. You have to have enough snipers and artillery to beat the behemoths on day 6. I could start over and do it the 'right' way, but it's just not interesting enough for that.
Not a bad game despite being simple, but I really hated how you could crash into the walls and die, especially on level 16 where there isn't even a wall but you die anyway. I'm just not a big fan of these "pilot the difficult-to-control contraption" games.
I just don't like this kind of game, I find them very boring and repetitive, and once you have played one you have played them all. It could be the perfect defend the house game and it would a) still be boring and b) still be 99% similar to all other storm the house games. Nice to see some extra modes in there to try and inject some fun into this dreary genre, but I can't imagine enjoying myself playing this game.
A slightly improved version of Feudalism, nothing more. I was hoping that at least this one would be free of crippling bugs, but alas, twas not to be. After several hours my autosave decided to dump me to the beginning of an unwinnable battle. You still get so much gold so quickly there isn't any point in having it, the new weapon enchantment system has runes that are too limited in number with some that are clearly better than others, while the refining part of it imbalances the game because of reloading. (Tell me you didn't save-reload to get a +10 weapon.) the strategy to victory has not changed. One of the only new features - custom characters - is locked. Not impressed.
